POINT: If she murdered her child she would have to utterly or completely insane.. and honestly, I do have a hard time believing that in totality. Personally, I think she should go on the stand. Sure, it would be a giant spectacle, but I believe it's very necessary considering all the circumstances surrounding this whole case.
I will not judge whether she did or did not kill her daughter. What I will say, however, is that the prosecution has not come anywhere close to proving it. Proven she's a liar and party-goer, yes... but in the U.S. justice system, few juries would convict of murder given this evidence. Honestly, Casey would have been much better off with a bench trial. A judge would possibly convict of the lesser charges, but the risk of a murder conviction would pretty much go down to 0%.
I have mixed feelings all the evidence does not prove who killed the child or how, yes she lied yes she partied but, couldn't that show she felt secure enough about it that it was perhaps an accident or something less sinister than murder? everyone who has testified about her as mother said she was a loving caring mother....
