@inflikkt So the designers actually ran out of money to produce music for their game. Rather than go without music, they announced a contest whereby random fans could get their music into the game, and the fans submitted a whole bunch of really good tracks that got used. :)

I hear ya. The only issue I have with the game's story is that they stereotype all members of one race into a single personality or culture, but that may be a result of the Ur-Quan's enslavement.

It's not really a remix as such. It's just three tunes overlaid on top of each other - they happen to have pretty much the same tempo, and they mesh together quite well. Hence this music/video.
