next time put a limiter on your input channel.. popping sound hurt.

Ableton>audio effects>limiter.. and drag it over your input channel. so it LIMITS how much sound is able to come through, so you wont get that crazy clipping. cheers!

@EspritDeMusique lol i was kidding. problem is my mic is cheap so i get internal clipping, even if i limit the signal it wont go over 0db but itll still clips like crazy. next time ill try compressing my voice and taking out the low end to minimize the popping. cheers for the feedback!

@Simpo911 Hey dude, do you have the synth? It doesnt come with ableton. I'll try to make a tut on making this sound with operator ( the synth that comes with ableton). My apologies if you're allready familiar with all of this.

@BasariStudios Yep I'm pretty sure you can do this on lots of compressors. Tho I've saw somewhere that theres no standart sidechaining thing in cubase if its version lower than 5, but there are still tuts on sidechaining in older versions of cubase if you need them.

@Mostfa18 Same here, I've got problems with the bassline. But so far I've been quite happy with short and smooth bass, used either triangle or sine waveform. And most of the time I keep the volume down, and give room to the other intruments. If you've got snappy synths, you've got a lot of bassy elements which makes it pumping, instead of static bass. It's difficult to explain without a video or other means to show it, but hopefully this helps you a bit.

Hi there everyone.

Once you download Sylenth1 and want the init file,

go to the folder where sylenth1 was put (such as my computer/programs)

i put my sylenth1 in VSTplugins.

simply open the sylenth1 folder, open it again (should be another folder called just like the other one) and then open SoundBanks.

Wala... InitBank.Fxb is right there.. if it is not, just send me a message and ill gladly share it.

@tilli09 Just doing this tute now. I had the same problem, what you have to do is turn the dial next to the 'Cutoff AB' that you just created up to full. Have fun!

@homerk16 not sure but if its like in 8 , put sylenth in a folder called vstplugins wich is in progam files then go in ableton and go in options/preferences/filefolder then press on rescan , then it should appear in youre plugin list

Open the sylenth1 plugin, click menu and then select init preset and it loads the init patch which is just 1 saw wave using one voice.

hey mate... i dont knw , but for some reason.. my sylenght's polyohony is not getting up from 1.. even though it shows 16.. but only one note is playing when i play a chord.... any suggestions?
