They already are the cheapest tho, even cheaper than Easyjet! This idea of having vertical saddle seats, and chargin fat tax etc is a joke. Just becasue you choose to travel on a budget does NOT mean you should be treated like cattle. I would find it very dehumanising in all fairness, even if it is only for a 1 hour flight. Why would any airline passenger in his/her right mind fly on Ryanair?? Sure, their standard ticket price is lower, but when you factor in all the extra garbage they charge for, even BA is about on par in terms of total cost. If price is that big of a factor, I'd choose an airline like Easyjet instead. Consumers have to realize the only way they can bargain is through their wallets. Don't pay for airlines like Ryanair if their practices make you so sick.

They're not like Alaska Airlines re: flight 261. Not to mention the fact a maintenance employee alerted the US FAA and did they ground this plane? Nope. They did nothing until 88 lives were lost. At least we have regulation here in Europe to prevent accidents like that.

The legal Minimum wage is EUR8.65 per hour. The aviation industry would be toast without Ryanair who actually brought true competition between airlines, unlike before... Ryanair's safety is remarkable. I researched this. By the way, they hope to start transatlantic flights soon.

This man is seedy. The are cheap in all respects, starting with a cheap CEO. Ryanair: the most hated airline that people use because it used to be cheap, like Aldi or Lidl. However nowadays they are pushing it too high, haressing passengers too much with this 10Kg zero gramms 1 piece hand luggage policy. They now have scales at the boarding counter and weigh the handlugagge. If you have 100 gramms more, u got to open it and put on the clothes, then its ok. Otherwise 35 euros charge.

@francisco8104 Fuel prices have increased and realistically, the only way to offset this is to impose weight limits on luggage. Otherwise, fares would rocket. Ryanair have made it easy to travel by offering low prices. I certainly won't be complaining about this because I never want to pay EUR300 for a flight to Paris (like one time). Thanks to Ryanair.

I studied the low cost model,and all it stands for.
Ryanair comes out tops,in reguards to safety and regards to ICAO regulations compliance,not just with low cost carriers but Nation aswell.
They have some of the best pilots in the world working for them,and the new'ist planes in the world.
I fly Ryanair and feel safe knowing im flying with an airline thats never had a major accident in its 26 year history,how many other airlines can say that?

Actually allboeing Aer Lingus offer A free meal,yes.But charge unrealistic,exagerated Fuel Surcharge which they add on without you knowing it.
And yes as harrymtsally said,there have been numerous Aer Lingus,BA,Lufthansa accidents over the course of there history,all to do with techincall errors onboard there planes.
Ryanair's most serious incident involved a serious engine failure due to flocks of birds and nothing techincal,so your statement is nullified.Even at that,no serious injuries
