Hey, thanks for this! Unfortunately I can't even render a finished video as uncompressed AVI, because my hard drive isn't big enough! lol! (A 1 minute video file came out to be over 4 GB in size!)
0:15 to 0:25 did help me out, though. I see you set Field Order to none - the DVX 100 is a progressive-scan camcorder?
I have always rendered my videos in "YouTube High Quality" format, but I just found out that makes then only 480x360 instead of 720x480! So now i'm gonna try a different format.

The DVX100 is a progressive AND interlaced. Using 30p, 24p, and 24pA you will get progressive-scan. using 60i will obviously be interlaced and you'll have to de-interlace while compressing.

yo luke, you prolly remember me. i was w/ kevin at the black mamba the other day. help me out? i got vegas 9 and when i render as avi it works, but when i go to put it threw streamclip the video just comes up in the player as all white and media player or vlc wont play it.but vlc will play the sound. everything works fine when i render as mov and send it threw in h.264, but i belive avi is slightly better quality. any idea whats goin on?

Are you saying you compressed it in mpeg streamclip as a quicktime file with the h.264 codec and it worked?

yea. with .mov files i can put it through streamclip fine but when i want to export as avi, it exports but the file is like corrupt wmp wont play it and streamclip recognizes it but the video comes up as just white and not the video clip. im doing uncompressed avi.

I don't know what to tell you to be honest, I stopped using a windows before Christmas and I've never seen Vegas 9.
