IT's awesome that everyone is thinking the same thing I did when I first heard UFO! The very first chords struck me and I'm like "WEDDING BELLS"!!!! hahaha I'm so happy to hear atleast some of Wedding Bells on the new record, it's to bad they didnt keep it as a whole though, it was gorgeous! I've been sat here for over an hour with my magical acoustic that Richard Ashcroft signed. Finally figured out the tuning: EADGBD. In other words, just lower the high E 2 steps down to a D. He wraps his thumb over to play the root notes.

If you play the guitar, try to play along and you'll find out ;) Nevertheless im a little upset too with the fact of not releasing Wedding Bells officially but i guess thats just how it is....

i love every single song that coldplay has produced and even though i was 5 when it was released Parachutes was and still is my all time favourite album, if Coldplay were to release something in the Parachutes style (like wedding bells) for their next album or even as a side album it would be interesting to see if it gets a better response to their new stuff, which obviously i love as well! in the mean time im just going to love chris martin .. <3

the only similarity (if there's any) to Christmas Lights I can see is the verse 'I always loved you and I always will' but truly in how many songs we hear about not keeping feet on the ground etc. (which btw. I like a lot, when I can find some connection between their songs ;) ) so I think it will be very nice to hear the final version od Wedding Bells, because it's really great :)

@raegiorem the new album will be released sometime at the start of the new year. The album is named LP5 allthough there are no guarranties that wedding bells will be on it. Even if it sounds great and is beautiful. Chris have stated before that if he feels that a song he writes is not artisticly good and have no real meaning for the band, it will get tossed.

My personal guess though is that this will be one of the bests songs on the album and that it indeed will be on LP5. :)

The tuning is pretty simple actually. It took me a couple minutes to find out. All it is the the high E tuned to a D. Then just follow what his fingers are doing. Its basically C,G,Em,D. I might put a video response up just to prove myself. Hope this was helpful.
