The album is today published in deluxe edition with 8 bonus tracks, including the Orson Welles narrations which had been cuttend from the 76 version because didn't arrive in time, Orson Welles radio spots, two songs more, demos. The Alan Parsons Project, as it was originally called "Tales", was supposed to be the 1st but many other concept albums followed with the same top quality. First of all, hi. As indicated in title, the composition is by The Alan Parsons Project and mine is only a cover, adapted for piano/voice. APP sheets are very rare and I played this by ear.

I was pleasantly surprised. You guys just about captured all of the sounds that are humanly possible to capture with a piano/vocal duo. Remember all of the other instruments and chorals used in the original? You guys either exactly matched or adeptly reproduced about 65% of them and it never sounded too thin at all. Excellent. Alan Parsons, Eric Woolfson, and Andrew Powell (let's not forget), true masters of sound, would be overjoyed.

And I'm pleasantly surprised about your comment. Yes, in APP music, arrangements are particularly interconnected with the music, so I always try to reproduce all I can, also in my instrumental APP covers. In "Shadow of a Lonely Man", posted as a response to this (on Alec's channel), while writing down the chords, I realized that, besides Eric's great piano chords, also Powell and Paton nuances have their importance.

Yes I have the new EW albums: "The APP that never was" in physical version, and "Edgar Allan Poe" in download version. "Never was" is very good, my fav being that abandoned Stereotomy track (base played by all APP members), now completed.

As for "Edgar Allan Poe", the previously unpublished tracks are in rock opera style so question of taste. For me they're a souvenir since I saw the London showcase.
