A very valid concern. One of my big concerns with Obama is that he doesn't have much of a record. I've been looking through a lot of his bills that he's proposed, and they're pretty good. I like them. Some are quite bold, like his plans for foreign relations.

It doesnt matter how much money who gave to Acorn or what case anyone worked. The point is that Mccain said that Acorn was a horrible, untrustworth organization. So why give a speech there and why blast Obama for getting support for them. Mccain demonized Acorn, but they can't be that bad when you did a speech for them. This is your best argument? McCain spoke at a rally once? A mole hill, compared to the mountain on the other side. Obama actually worked for them, training their people to do the very thing that drove banks to carry out predatory loans - Obama's "anti-smear" website even did a stealth edit to reword things to still make him look good but not outright say he didn't work for them.. Obama gave OVER $800,000 to an ACORN offshoot. They, a supposedly nonpartisan group, practically CAMPAIGNED for him.

Obama didn't give Acorn $800,000 you right-wing nut. Bill O'rielly even proved that to be false. It was $50,000 and that money had to be split with churches and other organizations. The money came from the goverment. Obama along with democrats and republicans had to sign off on it. Why dont you go to your McCain rally and wave your stuffed monkey around.

ACORN has done a great deal of good in minority neighborhoods & is very popular with many Hispanics.
At one time McCain has a fairly good-sized following in the Hispanic community but he's losing that as he continues to blast ACRON.
And,no, ACRON was NOT responsible for the housing disaster!

demon, The point isn't whether McSame is affiliated with ACORN or not. The point is GUILT BY ASSOCIATION. The same thing McSame is using to say Obama is a terrorist because he worked with Ayers on some board.
By that reasoning McSame is part of ACORN and also Palin is apart of the Alaskan Independence Party.
And its funny that McSame has selected William Timmons, a lobbyist who was convicted of federal criminal charges of working with Saddam Hussein to work in his campaign. No hypocracy here.

I've been wondering about the big picture. Beginning his political career with Ayers, the Reverend Wright's views, his wife remarkS she's proud of her country for the first time etc.. All this, while not directly of Obama, demonstrate a clear and convincing case of his influences and a POSSIBILITY that he may secretly hold them to some extent as well.
I still may vote for him, but I'm wary.

As far as I've seen, McSame's record is much more shady than Obama's is. There's a youtube video of him just after winning the nomination saying 'I will not take the low road to the highest office in this land' Yet here he is dragging the election into the mud
I don't even know what McSame stands for anymore because he changes his message every week to whatever he thinks will get him votes

A very valid concern. One of my big concerns with Obama is that he doesn't have much of a record. I've been looking through a lot of his bills that he's proposed, and they're pretty good. I like them. Some are quite bold, like his plans for foreign relations.
The thing with Ideology is that it gives people a sort of base, to be able to reason how their candidate would react to most situations. Perhaps that's why a candidate's personal morality is important?
But I certainly won't argue w/u.

Obama has been tied for the last week on FOX news and several other media outlets to ACORN and been told that he's a huge fraud, very explicitly by the McCain campaign. Thus people get angry when they see mccain support the same institution.
Beyond that, for CHRISTS SAKES ACORN HAS NEVER BEEN FOUND GUILTY OF ANYTHING. How can people just blithely declare an organization guilty when no proof of guilt has ever been established.

ACORN does good work. There's always a few numbskulls in any organization like that. Problem with the lameass rightwing nutbaggery argument about ACORN is that these organizations are required BY LAW to turn in ALL completed registration forms. BY FREAKING LAW. I repeat. REQUIRED. BY LAW. They flag the ones they suspect are fraudulent, but are required BY LAW to turn them in. And unless Mickey Mouse shows up with an I.D. to vote, the fake registration is useless anyway. When you register snoopy and charlie brown to vote and they don't actually show up to vote, sure, no law is broken, but what do you think happens to that voting card that's there for charlie brown and snoopy to use? It gets used by others to vote in who they want to win...Until there is legal voter i.d., there is no legal controlling authority, anyone can vote and you should know that, as does McCain and the powers that be.
