Hiking miles each day through mountains, crossing rivers, little to no food or sleep, and sleeping under the stars rain or shine, with temperatures that plummeted below freezing. I went on this back in 2002 when I was 15. Good and bad times I guess. No T.P./No handwashin/No teeth brushin/Dehydration/Cold wet harsh conditions in a tent without a floor/Wore every piece of clothing I had at night to stay warm/It was very strict and had to keep to yourself a alot. I think my favorite part was my 4 day solo just chillin at my campsite. Wish I had pictures but I lost my camera at the last campsite lol. So if any are out there hit me up!!! lol.

There is a difference between Wilderness Therapy programs and wilderness experience programs (wep) or "boot camps." Negative associations with wilderness programs are usually wep or "boot camp" style. Make sure to know the difference before sending your children. A wilderness therapy program is supported by research and staffed by licensed counselors, therapists, or psychologists.

The intent is to build confidence and enforce the ideal of individual responsibility. Wilderness programs do a better job of this than any of the other prevention programs. They dont work for hip hop culture infected retards, but they do work for people with promise who make foul choices.

they build confidence by showing you that you can accomplish anything you put your mind to.Paris Island did this for me at 25, wilderness programs help juveniles.

Understand that places like these are BUSINESSES they want your money and are typically connected to other programs, which they are happy to pass your children along too. Audio on this video sounds like acting to me. Staff members in these programs are known for questionable ethics and power trips. Consider other options, and for the sake and health of your chid please consider other options.

i just came out of this program today. about the staff, some of them were dicks and some of them were the best people i have ever met. and trust after 51 days of intense 24/7 therapy i am quite a different person. also our safety is the staffs #1 priority.
