Solar treated water is alright, i like to travel with little water on my body, so i hydrate propperly before i leave, and i keep some coal in my fishing bag, and the cotton rag, dirt and such for filtering the larger particles. I also tend to boil the water just to make sure ;) cheers!!!
@guldahlrahmi I got a solar oven from "Global Sun Ovens" just a little while ago. They sent it with a "WAPI". It doesn't take long at all on a clear day to bring the water up to a boil. But..... I'm thinking about ordering a bunch of those "WAPI's" just to speed things along.
@SustenanceNCovering Thats quite clever, although I still think that cleaning water using filtering methods, with coal and boiling water may be faster in terms of the amounts of water produced, I live in Norway so I'm quite fortunate that most water found outside is quite clean and in abundance (though this may change when shit hits the fan, anyway I still wont risk catching e-coli and other bacteria, and of course the risk of drinking water where some animal has died which is quite hard to tell
I have a drilled well, all my neighbors have drilled wells. Where I live which is close (within 20 miles) to a major city (state college). I don't get it? I've been drinking from a drilled well since I was a baby. Not all people in America get their water from the "city" and the CDC is located in my state!!
@meharris0925 If I am in the woods and I get thirsty, I drink right out of my well. One of my wells is only 9 feet deep and I always get sand in my teeth when I drink from it. Sometime I swallow the sand, and sometime I just spit it out. Depends on how I feel.
@MrKatphish I have one well that is pretty close to the corner where all of my neighbors houses are and that is the one that I will let them use when things get bad. Maybe they'll all get sick from drinking thier own waste. My well is way out back at least a thousand feet from the nearest house.
@NoTraceSurvival I finally got a chance to look up superfund today. I never even heard of this. Fortunately this area was a horse riding stables for about 30 years and abandoned from about 1980 till I bought it.
I have a WAPI. It uses wax as the indicator. When the wax melts, your water is purified. Same idea as the bubble thing you described. Thanks. Been meaning to get the, "When There No Doctor/Dentist" books.
awesome job thanks...that is what i have taught that here in AZ when we have done hikes...we come to a water pocket and put water in clear jugs and i have never got sick yet.. i even have a straw filter that i can drink out of..but this is all ways my last source to use..then on the bad water holes that we have come a cross we do strain and boil the water..but again that is time...i even carry a small sealing bottle of bleach in our first aid kit..thanks again great advise
We have a community well and can you believe I have to pay a company $100 per month for water? No electric= no water in my house so I really have to store some water, disinfectants, and filtration systems! How much can they charge for air ? lol..
@vida130 Charging for air is basicly what they are doing when they are charging for everything else that is made out of air and water and earth. But don't worry. They won't be doing stuff like that for much longer.
We have stopped allowing our children to be exposed to anything so when something new comes along they now get really sick. Too many people don't use common sense. Here in Bexar County we have had Legionnaires' disease from the water which causes pneumonia but only the old, frail or sick are usually effected. If the naysayers are thirsty they will drink just about anything. Blessings!
@BexarPrepper When Americans travel to other countries where germaphobia hasn't quite caught on yet they get really sick. It's called Montezuma's Revenge. But nobody ever questions why the people who live there and drink the water every day never get sick from it.
I'm not promoting this but when I was a kid (1970's) our pool in the summer was the local creek and we (almost every kid I grew up with) drank out of it every day in the summer and no one ever got sick or died.
You know when we made wells in Kentucky we never gave a second thought about drinking the water.. It is the best tasting water I had till I drank sweet water in western South Dakota. And that Clay in Louisiana has got to be one of the best natural purifiers you can find. Probably more city boys. As Hank JR says a country boy can Survive. You work with more than I can remember before I left home. Thanks for the post & Your Time
As a kid, when I would go bike riding, I would drink the water out of gullys on the side of the road lmao ... but only if it looked good and I was thirsty haha ... but yeah , I prolly got sick enough where I felt like I was dying a few times in my life, but dont know if it was around that time lol ...anyways, I think you are right about what you are saying. stagnant water ... you dont drink unless you boil I believe ... miss you guys!!!
@wideawake73 I got an email yesterday saying that I could get back on high speed internets for a year for just 5 dollars more a month, and I am seriously thinking about it. Right now I can't really upload too much, because my isp is soooooo slow, but I'm so busy with trying to do my real life that I don't have too much time anyway.
Great vid! Thank you!

You are so right. Two comunity water systems were found to have radiation in the water. Yes, radiation in the water.
