Doc. Did Santosh ever worked in any Indian movies?, If not then why did he took up a Hindu name.

Yes he did work in few movies in Bombay before partition..all C class movies though..and disappointed from the roles there he moved to Pak.

@moidulhassan1 thanx.. u r rite that he starred in Ahinsa but there was one more movie based on a muslim social family drama type background..forgetting its name.. Producer and writer both were muslim.. i'll let you know..but the thing is he prefered to come to Pak instead of wait or struggle in that tuf 47 era of bloodshed..and i feel in his case it was a just decision as he lived gracefully here unlike many others from the ruthless shobiz :-)

Sweet, indeed, are the golden oldies.The voices, the words of lyrics, and live orchestra supports always jelled in ways that modern remixes can never match. I think only A.R. Rehman today manages to come up with that kind of sweetness in his compositions, and when Sonu Nigam and Madhushree sing for him, as they do in Jodha-Akbar, then I am inclined to stand up and cheer again.
