Some people really kill me about interiors. I'm still trying to see how the interior is ugly,it looks fine to me. Also many Italian supercar interiors look like a Go-kart,some don't even come with radios or nothing like that. I like them, don't get me wrong, but it's kind of amusing tho.
I see a lot of car reviews, but yours are on the top of the list as being very thorough and informative. You should seriously considering reviewing cars in general.
Has anyone really been inside a C6 Zo6? Trust me, if you sit into one, you will totally forget about the "crappy" interior. Sure, It doesn't have that Italian leather like Ferrari, but its better than any other American car I've seen.
Very true. People piss and moan about the interior, but just get ahold of one for a weekend and find some quiet back roads to drive. GM could put an ultra premium interior into this thing, but it would hike up the price substantially.
I don't see an ugly interior it looks OK , if you want an european quality look you just do an aftermarket customization cover the dash board and door panels with leather with stitches, and maybe change the steering wheel ,I mean something like the interior of leno's C6RS
if thats the best interior you have seen from a gm, they make some really shitty interiors...all corvettes have BORING plain cheap interiors even the ZR1
ChicagoCarsDirect, I like to complain on the high quality of the vehicles you recieve! It's like everyone who sells their cars to you are rich, they use them for a few miles then sell them. I mean this beautiful Z06, with only 3000miles? thats pretty much a time period u need to have for an oil change. I wish I had you're job, getting to drive and advertise these nice cars. Espcially the Superleggera and the 1200hp Z06. Wow you're lucky
Great car...Im really disappointed that they only managed to squeeze 505 hp from a 7 litre engine. The Europeans would have done a lot better with that capacity
You don't need more than the 505 horsepower, the car is a lightning rod. What that 7.0 liter displacement gives this engine is incredible torque, and since this is not a heavy car, that is a much more important measure of output.
Why can't people admit that it's just a nice car without finding a reason to criticize it...I drive everything, and it's a great car. That has to mean something.
People say that these cars are "inefficient" because it needs 7.0 to make 505. Well These things get better gas Mileage then all those "High Tech" 100 HP per liter cars and I dont know about you guys but 7.0 pulling off 25+ MPG sounds efficient to me.
Fair point Chris...I know it came across as me criticising the car. But I actually like it. Its a Ferrari beater in terms of torque. I cnt help but think that there is more potential from the engine. P.S Im not a big fan of big engines anyway. Id be quite happy with that Lotus Exige S you had previously
Well stated. Us Yanks like the big power for our big stretches of highway, but I have as much respect for the Lotus as any of them. And, let's be completely honest, we don't get taxed here for displacement, so what you want is what you get.
@propagandaaccount the expression "squeezed" doesn't quite apply with american engines as the one in the zo6, as the numbers come effortlessly all day long any gear any speed, that's the major difference you need to understand about engine philosophy. rather try a 2 liter 4 banger with an advertised 240 horses in a honda for the expression "squeeze" an engine to no-good-lasting-life-span
John, you are correct. It does get a bit toasty in back after some time on the road...I guess that's what happens when 505 horses all have to share the same exhaust!
No joke, I have another 08 Z06 that I did a 250 mile round trip to Michigan this past weekend with my daughter.
We averaged 26.5mpg, granted most of it was highway driving. But, I still probably had it at 75-85 most of the time on the highway.
A Honda Civic going 85 wouldn't post that kind of mileage...plus, comfortable as can be on the highway. Barely breaks a sweat at 100mph...very impressive.
You know what you should mention in your videos whenever you get another Corvette to sell.
Talk about the Corvette Wave =) Thats one of the coolest things about owning a Vette. Its awesome when you get the wave regardless of the generation the other guy is driving. Its cool passing by a total stranger thats as crazy about their car as you are =)

Why do so many people mention HP per Liter? Why is that so important? 505 horspower is still 505 horsepower.

Yeah, I know what right?!
