  • my grandpa had 3 w110 diesels, then a w123 300D his on his 6th merc now, my dad has had 3 and im on my first now a w123 240D -83! :) even great grandpa had a 170S..

  • i have the same year in a manual. the engine is seized now and i have no idea what's wrong. any ideas?

  • @vooplern did you run it out of oil?

  • @DamnStraightM35A2 Is sounds like it huh?

  • I also have a 1967 Mercedes 200D. The car ran and drove fine before we parked it (bought it right before winter) - but now it has been sitting for a few years. It starts up, but dies as soon as I shift it into drive - any suggestions for troubleshooting this problem?? Thanks!

  • Actually after this video was taken the engine tossed itself. Pulled it apart and it had no bearing anymore on the #1 connect rod to crank.

  • An Diesel should tick! Otherwise it's over with that diesel if it not ticks.. If it stop's to tick, you can dump it at the junkyard.. But your diesel run's fine, it has many miles left that engine=)..

  • this car never dies its super reliable my dad gave me one im restoring it it runs reall good too
