It is ambiguous in the Aramaic. Really, to make clear "Only begotten of God" it should be: יחידיא דאלהא not יחידיא אלהא This is more a case where one can make the argument for the Aramaic being the original and the Greek variants reflecting the ambiguity of the Aramaic.
@ASRIEL153 well, yea, even though Aramaic and Hebrew are sister languages, they do have slight differences, even grammatical ones. and the Estrangela script (which the the Peshitta has) has the yod-aleph ending. I just put it to its root form for videos sake. And in Pal. Aramaic, what you saw in the square script would be what one would read.

Fantastic! I had always been wondering about that passage. Indeed, Aramaic tends to come to the rescue a lot... todah :)

I can see Powerpoint at the end. You know you can edit the videos in Camtasia Studio 5? =P

Nice video. Question though... why wouldn't "only begotten God" be "alaha yachidaya...", or does aramaic work that much differently than hebrew?
and where does the "aya" suffix come from? I don't see it in the square script.
Thanks!

Oh, maybe you were just omitting the construct letter for the video's sake?
