I had a tabla lesson with this joker at his house in Acton years ago, He was so hung-over he couldn't be bothered to get out of his armchair and sit in front of the tabla properly. He doesn't care much about his young students, just easy money to him
I only came to know of Pete in this first week of Nov08 on reading of him in Deccan Herald.Since then I've done intensive internet research on him.He's fascinating,versatile and truly international.His percussion passion knows no boundaries!
i think if you know how to play the tabla, you can play almost any type of "drum" available. it is very easy from there to improvise something of your own, there is a lot of room for experiments and great fun once you get the hang of whole cycle idea. anyways pete, great job, keep it up. =)
I know but I said "lol" just because he can play SO many instruments well that it's funny you mentioned one of the few that he's isn't good at. One can't be great at EVERYthing.
