Kind of a shame that there isn't just an accompaniment part, it would make it the most fantastic song for talent show. maybe i could still do it just with playing the melody too... but yeah. maybe i could try to screw around with the part a little to try to make it sound good without playing the vocals while i sing. hmmm... will have to try....

Okay, finding a tutorial such as this on Youtube is RARE, very nice. However it drives me CRAZY that the song is incomplete.

What about the chorus? What is the point of learning a FRAGMENT of a song? I find my self watching and wanting to slam my face against my piano because there is no mention of the chorus of this song, and so I find that learning it would be TOTALLY pointless if I cannot play it all the way though.

If you could help at all to address this issue I'd appreciate it very much.

Eventually I'll post more of the lesson on the blog,

but I'll post it broken into fragments on youtube.

its easier to work with 3, 3 minute videos, (verse chorus bridge) than 1 9 minute video...

I learned it from transcribing the song :)

now you have motivation to work on your transcription skills to learn the rest of the song!

I see, I see. Thank you for explaining, I've learned (though it's been mindblastingly frustrating) about 20 or so songs from videos on Youtube, and I've just started playing in late December, videos like this help immensely.

A video of you playing this song (even at normal speed) with a camera view such as this would make it possible for me to learn if you are able someday. It drives me crazy when I try and play by ear and later figure out that I was wrong... heh.
