  • So on the over head tricep extesion on a single bumbell i got a question i notice i when i do the full rep i fell the burn but when i do half of a rep it burns alot more and i feel a better pump so is it better to do half a rep or the full rep..i been working out for about 3 years so i have good size but i was wondering why do i feel better burn doing half instead of the full rep

  • Scott Herman Fitness? Didn't know taking a shit ton of steroids helped you be fit. Not sure if thats what the doctors recommend. Pretty sure none of them would recommend doing this with a 125 lb dumbbell. Shit, they would probably take one look at this guys neck and send him straight to the ER.

  • @OcOscar13 Well im not Scott lol, but there are several things you can do to break a plateau, if you take a supplement, you could take a break from the supplement, you could take a 1 to 2 week break from working ou in general, tire out the muscle group your working before your workout (i.e. pushups before your chest routine) or load the bar up lightly and do a crap load of reps before or after certain workouts. Hope i helped

  • @OcOscar13 I'm not sure what your consuming, but trying to eat 400-500 more calories a day should help you gain weight :) Just make sure there's not too much junk food in there!

  • scott,whenever im doing tricep extension i can heard my left shoulder cracking or poping ...it's like ligaments and bones grinding together..wrong technique?i injured my shoulder 10 years ago..slightly dislocated and it never look the same again..wat shud i do?

  • @chilskater I'm not Scott, but I might be able to help. When doing this, you are supposed to keep your shoulder and arm completely straight to your elbows. All you want to move is your forearm up and down. That will make it so pretty much all of the pressure is staying on your tricep, not your shoulder, and that may help you out, and give you better results.

  • I do 3 sets of 10 with a 140. My biggest problem is getting it on my shoulder but I think you might of helped me with that. I used to roll it off my leg too.  I'll doing it the other way next week.

  • He doesn't wear a belt , if you want to lift a few more pounds, wear a weight belt. It helps

  • Wouldn't it better to do this one handed? Because it seems like with two hands, you stronger arm might end up doing more of the work and compensate for the weaker arm.

    yeah but it works. but now i;m having trouble gripping the hexagonal 70 dumbell properly as the corners are jabbing into my hand, unevening the weight, damn it. i should have ordered the weight that scott was using in this video. shit.

  • you shouldn't do a weight too large because then you'll have to move your head out of the way and over cpmpensate. 125 is pretty impressive for a fairly slender (but in shape) build. they must be easier then i thought as I'm slightly more muscular in the arms (not cut though entirely) andf i only do about 70 to 80 lbs, 4 sets of 10. wow.

    i use the hexogon weights and don't know which way to hold it, it's hard to hold straight. swweaty hands is also an issue, so I wear dishpan gloves when doing it lol. weight gloves still slide around when doing this bvut dishwashing gloves prevent that. go figure.
