So on the over head tricep extesion on a single bumbell i got a question i notice i when i do the full rep i fell the burn but when i do half of a rep it burns alot more and i feel a better pump so is it better to do half a rep or the full rep..i been working out for about 3 years so i have good size but i was wondering why do i feel better burn doing half instead of the full rep
Scott Herman Fitness? Didn't know taking a shit ton of steroids helped you be fit. Not sure if thats what the doctors recommend. Pretty sure none of them would recommend doing this with a 125 lb dumbbell. Shit, they would probably take one look at this guys neck and send him straight to the ER.
@OcOscar13 Well im not Scott lol, but there are several things you can do to break a plateau, if you take a supplement, you could take a break from the supplement, you could take a 1 to 2 week break from working ou in general, tire out the muscle group your working before your workout (i.e. pushups before your chest routine) or load the bar up lightly and do a crap load of reps before or after certain workouts. Hope i helped
@OcOscar13 I'm not sure what your consuming, but trying to eat 400-500 more calories a day should help you gain weight :) Just make sure there's not too much junk food in there!
If you dont have anything good to say, or perhaps anything to share with the rest of us that would benefit the serious bodybuilder's technique, then shut the hell up. we dont care to read nonsense from the feable minded. Thanks.
ill take a second and be like the idiots that post on here with nothing productive or positive to say.....I must say, that was a wasted second. Morons.
NICE JOB, DROPPING THE DBs FUCKING IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IN NO GYM ANYPLACE ON THE FUCKING PLANET, WOULD YOU DROP IT ON THE FLOOR. UNLESS YOU ARE INJURED....
Why the hell are you doing it with a 125 lb weight? thats absolutley rediculous and you will get bigger gains with lower weight and more than one fucking rep.
I'm 17 Started working out 4 months ago and was skinny as hell back then, doing this exercise with 6kg, just did it today with 23.5kg (51lbs) 2 sets of 12 :D
@MrCharley1616 diets but u dont even need a diet just dont eat shitty foods but diets help as in low carbs and low fats and lots of fruits and lean meats and watch scotts ab workout its insane u will have a 6 pack in no time
Scott can you post a video showing how you get dumbells up for seated shoulder press?? Light weights are easy but anything over 30kg dumbells can be hard to get above your head, thanks, Lewis
Scott! I'm new to lifting and I'm finding your channel extremelly helpful! Thanks for putting in the time for these. It's much appreciated!
QUESTION: I'm finding that I'm not really sore the next day (after workouts.) I"m tight but not sore. I'd like to build (some mass) . Am I just not using enough weight or ?????
scott, whenever im doing tricep extension i can heard my left shoulder cracking or poping ...it's like ligaments and bones grinding together..wrong technique?i injured my shoulder 10 years ago..slightly dislocated and it never look the same again..wat shud i do?
@chilskater I'm not Scott, but I might be able to help. When doing this, you are supposed to keep your shoulder and arm completely straight to your elbows. All you want to move is your forearm up and down. That will make it so pretty much all of the pressure is staying on your tricep, not your shoulder, and that may help you out, and give you better results.
@ChristianPLM I do the overhead extensions with one arm, i feel alot of pressure on my shoulder and it hurts !
what i do is what you just described but the pain goes away when i bend my arm a little bit away from my head and i don't feel any pain anymore, what's wrong here?
I do 3 sets of 10 with a 140. My biggest problem is getting it on my shoulder but I think you might of helped me with that. I used to roll it off my leg too. I'll doing it the other way next week.
damit scott, the other day i did this same exercise (standing up though) with 90lbs dumbells and i felt like a beast! Now you're using 125's??? ugh, i gotta step it up now.
maby its just me,bt dont u rec he could drop the weight at least 25 pounds bt raise the intensity of the exercise in many ways.i think dumbells that big on that exercise is just ego.i cant do half that weight on that exercise bt am alot bigger than him.my point is to get big muscles u dont hav to lift big, just increase the intensity, and increase the weight gradually.just a thought.
Wouldn't it better to do this one handed? Because it seems like with two hands, you stronger arm might end up doing more of the work and compensate for the weaker arm.
@killerecho doing it 1 armed is worse... you may think its better but all the difference goes into the stabilizer muscles.. you feel like its equal but its not
yeah but it works. but now i;m having trouble gripping the hexagonal 70 dumbell properly as the corners are jabbing into my hand, unevening the weight, damn it. i should have ordered the weight that scott was using in this video. shit.
you shouldn't do a weight too large because then you'll have to move your head out of the way and over cpmpensate. 125 is pretty impressive for a fairly slender (but in shape) build. they must be easier then i thought as I'm slightly more muscular in the arms (not cut though entirely) andf i only do about 70 to 80 lbs, 4 sets of 10. wow.
Hi Scott, good informative videos man thanks a lot. Whats your pre and post workout? Also how many g/per/lb protein are you getting down? P.S 125lb tricep extension is ridiculous how many are you pushin out!
i use the hexogon weights and don't know which way to hold it, it's hard to hold straight. swweaty hands is also an issue, so I wear dishpan gloves when doing it lol. weight gloves still slide around when doing this bvut dishwashing gloves prevent that. go figure.
Scott, can you discuss HIT training (High Intensity Training) as well as Negatives? Would you suggest an "all Negatives workout"? Wanna work one up for us?;)
Lolz that 125lbs. dumbell is bigger than your head O.o...and of course i mean your head with your ears, eyes,etc...not the other one.LOL(no homo bro...k maybe a little just for shits and giggles)

I'll admit, I get scared when I start lifting heavier (me it's only 85s) and when I have to pullvault it into a starting position. I also am keenly aware of flaws in my form at that point.
You didnt think i was serious about being angry do you? I was just joking about that weight slamming non sense. I slam the weights at my gym all the time. lol
is there a difference between doing dumbbell tricep extensions on a bench or the ground or for that matter any workout? will it hurt your back not doing them on a bench?
Have you ever had an issue with tennis elbow? Ive always done overhead extensions as a staple in my training but recently when I hit the 100lb DB mark I started having some pain following my training but never during.
Why did you slam the weight like that. It angers me lol. Thanks for making these videos cause i always worry about my form but your helping me out especially with these nice tips. Thanks again.
My friend James is a boxer. he has been trying to gain weight & build up more muscle to move up in weight class ( or whatever lol) and has been really stressed about it. I've been showing him your videos all week and he has been going on and on about how helpful they are so thanks from him and me cause now I don't have to hear him complain anymore. ( and he doesn't have a youtube name. )

I have allways loved lifting and playing around with weights.
I don't belived in just letting the weights fall on the floor like that.

If he didn't stand up fast enough he would have gotten 125lbs in the nuts. That's a workout ruiner for ya.

( and he doesn't have a youtube name. )

What a hoot! You think of everything. By the way your conditioning is going up even more notches, if possible. Those neck veins - wow! Super hero stuff.
