Hey, I understand. This girl started 1 1/2 years ago.. (so did I) . Giver her props!! In my case, I caught up fast and ended up on top every competition... I know how tough it can be!! Just one correction that I was at fault too... BACK TUCK!!!!!!!!
i have a few corrections, I am a junior synchronized swimmer and I've done this many times.
1) scull more
2) do the figure SLOWER
3) when you lift up into a heron/bent knee vertical, your big toe on the knee that is bent should just be touching the side of your straight leg.
4) when you were going from a back layout to surface arch then pike, you were completley rushing! layout, slowly to into surface arch, then twist into surface pike. Be sure to travel a little while you are twisting.
you're turning with your right shoulder back you need to turn wiht your left!!!
ohh and try to scull harder you will get a lot higher!!! trust me i was such a slow sculler, i spead it up and got like 5" higher!! =] hope this helps!
Good job! Just a few tips...when you are in the pike position, before you start lifting to the bent knee position, I see you are getting stuck there. Try to use a paddling scull to initiate the lifting of your foot. The slower you lift your foot, the easier it will be once you get in the bent knee position vertical. In the bk position, try to keep your sculling even (on the same plane), tighten your muscles and imagine stretching your toe upwards for extension. :o)
I really miss synchro. All the other teams are older than me or way younger than me at my level. Im going into a Masters Program...So I doubt I will have time anyways... sigh
you're terrible! she didn't SAY it was about holding her breath as long as she could. did you even take the time to read her comment? she said she learned HOW to hold her breath. and really, for such a new swimmer, she's did a really great job. get over yourself.

it is not a point that you keep youre breath as long as you can. you have to work on your technic
