  • Looks like necessary repairs have been made to this video, looks good....again!!

  • The redshirt...ha!

  • that was really funny. and everyone's characterizations were really good - especially Mike! a really good Kirk, not over-the-top, but definitely Shatner.

between this and Mike and Hunter in the Roman Fry's, you're my heros.

  • "Kirk" is disugusting:D

  • It's a great parody

  • LOL the last liner NO PUN INTENDED ROFLMAO!!!

  • Store 19 rulz ARLINGTON

  • This was great!! I am a "Fry's" addict and this was icing on the cake. Thanks for making this film, well done as well.

  • @WHEATGERM1948 Now the video is changed, voice and actions are not coordinated and some of the video is removed for some reason.

Time to redo it because it will still remain in my favorites and I plan to revisit it again and again..

  • I knew it... Frys makes human sacrifices to keep their prices down

    haha loved it

  • When are you guys making the next one?

  • I used to work at the Burbank store.

  • store 33 plano pwns ALL!!!

  • Awesome!

  • This was hilarious!

  • Excellent!

  • pretty good. and i am naughty in a similar way that sexgirl883 is.

  • Store 19 pwns yall Arlington ftw

  • The arlington store was a distribution center for Incredible Universe. (Most Incredible Universe stores are Frys now).

  • Thats the FRYS in burbank.

  • GOD i hate fry's employees they once told me a amd sticker was a component ahhh.

  • Most likely that was our accessory sales...which means they stock and don't know shit

  • The best thing I've ever seen on YouTube - I laughed out loud! You've managed to pack almost every Star Trek cliche into your film and the result is a triumph. I particularly liked the inevitable demise of Mr Yakamoto. Please do another Trek parody (if I was a multi-millionaire I'd pay you to give up the day job and concentrate on doing what you're obviously so good at). Many thanks.

  • NERD.

  • You should make one for The Next Generation!

  • I wish I had that kind of leisure time to just waste away.

  • You do HAVE the time to waste,,, it's all about not having priorites..... the Elcons learned that centuries before we did

  • ... You guys have guts. XD Great work.

  • Way better than New Voyages.

  • Good one Cap'n!

  • This is well-meaning fun, guys. Good job. Fry's should realize that their 50's Invasion display is really cool and would've inspired film crews. But no, they must be heavy handed about things.

  • "Free Enterprise" has filmed where no crew has gone before: North Hollywood. So you guys film in Burbank, and that's too close to North Hollywood for a round of applause. Maybe if you shot in San Dimas...

  • You should've blown up fry's....

  • I was looking for this one to see again for a long long time, guys id love a autaograhed photo if you can..Ilcover postage, for a DVD too, I want to finda way to download this, Great!!! cfler

  • mr yakamoto, you stay here...

    (whitest yakamoto ever)

    and then... SHOPPING CART!

  • Those guys look like The Wiggles! LOL

  • You guys actually sound like Kirk, Spock, and Bones! Woah!

  • i hate security gaurds they are worse than state troopers. you guys need to do another one that was too funny

  • These guys have let themselves go like no one has gone before

  • The "managers" name is David and the other guys that told them not to shoot are Rene and one guy from LP. How do I know this? I work there.

  • Looks like Kirk forgot to wear his toupee today

  • "Get a bigger budget."

    -security jagoff.

  • aww you didnt blow up the planet at the end!

  • I love this!!!! hilarious

  • I once tried to film a savage beating scene on the side of a highway with a cast and crew of about twelve people. I hate cops.

  • Fantastic job on getting a genuine Trek feel on this one & your Shatner impression rocks! Please check out my own Star Trek spoof Car Trek - a Mini adventure.

  • Funny but sad, very sad

  • ok, do they all live together in a one bedroom apartment or in their parents basement?

  • Boy, Fry's sure knows how to win friends and influence people, don't they?

Don't their managers get even rudimentary PR training?

    -jcr

  • ....was that a mic in picture? Very accurate to the show then.

  • Security dorks. You can make them leave but you cant make them turn off their camera. Learn the law fascists.

  • you fags are loser.. geek

    looks like reject

  • aha you rock

  • By Grathors Hammer, what a savings! Great work!

  • Our frys is MUCH bigger.

  • Ha that was too funny, and I work for Fry's Electronics, we could of used the laugh here in Arizona.

  • "Who is controlling you?" Loved it.

  • why is spock chinese?

  • i think it's reference to an old ep where Kirk tells people that Spock is Chinese (City on the Edge of Tommorrow, i think)

  • I used to shop at that store... hahaha

  • How dare you not make a second episode. Great stuff.

  • congratulations! you made wil wheatons blog ! i love the video btw:)

  • Marks47 is clearly accurate in all of his remarks. But may I add the terrible cinematography, the shotty costumes, and the absurd casting. I mean why is spock chinese? That's just offensive.

No I'm not a film student, but I am a Star Trek nerd about to graduate from the academy! And I think you self proclaimed fans aren't commiting yourself the way you ought to be.

We have an obligation to stay truer to the people who paved the way for us.

How dare you bite the hand that feeds you!

  • Stupid Frys wanted them to get a bigger budget... too bad they have almost 20,000 views, rofl.

  • I followed a link to this from Wil Wheaton's blog. Great job, guys!!

  • Big Savings, Big Discounts, Big Ants, ZAPPPP!!!

  • Lame. So is shooting in a store without permission. (No i don't work for fry's, i'm a film major about to graduate.)

You could easily have been arrested for trespassing.

The manager can now sue you for using his likeness in a commercial endeavor without his permission since he is not a public figure.

You're Tom Green, but not funny.

Sorry. I'm as much for indy filming as the next comm. arts major...

The joke at the end was pretty good though.

  • I thought comm arts majors were all about making Cheerios commercials and analyzing demographics. I had no idea that indy filmmaking was on their plate too...I thought indy filmmakers just made indy films, but now I know they take mass comm classes too! Looks like I learned something today!

  • Half the joke was getting kicked out. Grow a sense of humor, or better yet take that diploma to Fry's security and start marking people's receipts with a highlighter as they leave.

  • For someone who is about to graduate, you may want to do a bit of homework before you accept that technical school diploma. Stores are public property and anyone has the right to film there. If they ask you to leave the premises and you refuse, then it becomes a legal matter and you can be arrested. For someone who holds up Tom Green as the gold standard of funny, I'm so shocked that you wouldn't know that already.

  • You can either spend your time bragging about your current college major, or you can actually get out there, shoot something and gain experience instead of wandering from forum to forum like the Roger Ebert of the internet. I'll make sure to open the bag extra wide next time I leave Fry's, so you can make sure I haven't tried to swipe the new Guitar Hero. Sorry should have all been in one post, but there's a word limit.

  • No, I don't think Tom Green is funny. I know that others do....

Stores are NOT public property, they are private property and you do NOT have the right to film there without prior permission.

  • Do you have any precedent to back up what you are saying? I've consulted with both legal and industry contacts (location managers), and there's no reason why we couldn't. If a public store is private property, then the public who walks through the doors are trespassing. If you are doing something to disrupt their business, and you won't leave, that's a different story.

  • Oooo! A film major about to graduate guys! Looks like we got us a reader!

  • I think it's a bigger joke that you actually paid American currency for film school.

  • In what way is something on YouTube a commercial endeavor?

  • Lighten up, fella.

  • I LOVE IT! *clicks favorites*

  • Great little video. I have posted it on my blog as well as a little statement about it. Very funny and brave. More Trek parodies would not go unwatched guys! -Sebastian.

  • Very good. I hate that Frys store. I was asked to leave recently after taking a photograph of one of their cool sci-fi displays. Great way to treat your customers.

  • We need to know more about the shopping cart menace....

  • I love it.

  • wow team nerd

  • Quite funny, and better acting then New Voyages.

  • Cute, very fun. Who are the filmmakers? And who's Mike? Is he the guy who battled Kirk? Is there a secondary level of humor going on here that I don't know about?

  • Mike McCafferty is Kirk, Ryan Nagata is Spock, George Edelman is McCoy, Ben Pluimer is Sakamoto, and Jason Makiaris is Matt Fry. We all met doing shorts for Channel101 www.channel101.com, and you can see more of our work there.

  • Mike McCafferty played Kirk and Jason Makiaris played Matt Fry. The secondary level of humor is that we all make legitimately good short films, and ocassionally run into electronics stores with a camera and no script for fun.

  • That was great! Great acting and writing. Thank you for the fun. More please.

  • you're gonna get 9,000,000 views.

  • very funny, they can not buy that kinda advertizing!

  • This was great! I followed the link from Wil Wheaton's blog and immediately recognized Mike.

  • lol classic

  • pretty funny stuff guys, my brother and i shot some spiderman footage in a target once, and we were worried we'd get hassled, but we were ok. way to keep filming, it was good!

  • this is what i must be like to be dog GOD!!

  • We were loving that this was on the front page of Digg, but then it got removed. Not sure why that happened, but feel free to send this link to your friends. We'd appreciate it.

  • fuck Fry's ... well done, guys!

  • Heh, that was awesome... although the people at Fry's are jerks :\

  • LOL

  • Absolutely brilliant! I loved every minute of it!

  • Absolutely brilliant, guys. If Fry's makes you take this down, please get in touch with me about mirroring it.

  • excellent video guys keep it up, good acting too

  • Awesome

  • i like it.
