Layne was one of the greatest rock/metal vocalist to ever grace this planet, and in my opinion, the band should of chosen one of the people who performed at their benefit concert, e.g maynard james keenan, or wes scantlin, but duvall is more than a worthy enough replacement, he is no layne, but he shouldnt have to compete with layne or imitate him, he adds his own flair and twist on the songs and that's a good thing.
