You shouldn't be too tough on how he looks. Nick Lowe was fairly old when he released this song. He'd been playing since the 60's and would have been in his late 30's in this clip. He party pretty hard tho back then I'm told
Hell of a band, Paul Carrack from UK Squeeze playing keys, Martin Belmont on guitar, Bobby Irwin on drums and James Eller on bass.
@itsleo part memory - part google. I saw that line up play once or twice. They're all primo musicians. They were known as "Nick Lowe and his Cowboy Outfit".
Nick looks quite grey and haggard and thats only 4 years after that song was originally in the charts!! His appearance has chanced soo much in that short space of time!!
@theGrape Letterman -was-, sort of, hip...30 years ago. Nowadays he's a tired, cynical mirage of his former self. Fortunately Lowe is the exact opposite.
proper mulite too.just cool

I will always remember this interview. At that time, I too despised Reo Speedwagon, Journey and Stixx... I felt so happy when he said that.
Long live Nick, Dave and Rockpile.

Great band (same lineup as in the Ragin' Eyes video), fantastic song, inspired performance. And what a mullet! Nick is the best.
