...had the pleasure of seeing him perform at a lil jazz gig in Starlite shopping center one Sunday evening in the late 80's.....I never forgot that.

no he isn't. He is just not recognised 2day by young musicians. He lives laventille not to far from my house. Visited him once,and i plan to visit again.
