  • This was possibly the worst idea of mankind.

  • The moment I hear the phrase "bust a rhyme" or any variation thereof, I immediately stop listening.

This here is not a mean green mother from outer space, this is a lean lame loser from prehistoric earth.

  • waaaa what is this what he has eyes no what when how and WHY

  • TH is this? No wonder I've never seen this. This opening sucked... This CANNOT be based off the movie...

  • I was only six. I liked it. LOL

  • Wow..I remember this cartoon, but never watched it. How bad was it

  • how meny ep did it make

  • @sonicperson123 I was around 7 when I saw it Andre 2 scared me

  • I bet if kids saw this before they saw the movie, they would be very confused and horrified as to how Audrey is MURDEROUS.

  • im sure there isnt a single person who doesnt wish we could just erase the 90s... a few exceptions of course

  • Can anybody tell me what the real live movie was like. I never saw or heard of it until after this cartoon came out.

  • @ TehRantareHaha Haha yeah this is ridiculous. It's up there with the Dumb and Dumber cartoon, The Robocop cartoon, The RAMBO cartoon, The Swamp Thing Cartoon, and the Back to the Future cartoon.

  • I used tow atch this

  • When Cartoonists Attack.

  • Woah, Cartoon Network should remake this!

The music is reminiscent of Michael Jackson.

  • Worst cartoon ever! hate it, hate it hate it! Can people please stop making bad adaptations of musicals please? it makes people not respect theatre even more! Again, WORST CARTOON EVER!

  • The one good thing that came from this video is that our cast catch phrase is now "WORD. LITTLE SHOP."

  • People have already addressed the myriad problems with this, but as someone currently playing Chiffon, my biggest problem with this is that there are NO URCHINS. And no, poorly-drawn singing flowers don't count.

  • 1. Don't tell me that little creepy Susie wannabe at 0:45 is Audrey.

    2. Don't tell me that bald, fishlipped goon at 0:46 replaced Orin.

    3. Don't tell me this is supposed to be based on Little Shop of Horrors.

  • It would have been better if Audrey 2 sang like she did in the movie and musical instead of rapping. Also, did anyone else pick think of "Billy Jean" when Seymour was falling and hitting those tiles? LOL

  • I think I raged so hard my brain broke.

  • Oh my gosh...... I can't remember if I even remember this show..... That's a first.

  • Personally, I kind of like it! I can't get the theme song outta my head when I was a kid! : )

  • ...I think I just threw up in my mouth a little.

  • Oh good god! The legends were true!

  • 55 people who like this are the same ones who helped delete the 'Dont Feed The Plants' ending from the LSOH movie at the test screening.

  • It reinterpreted the movie just like every other kid's cartoon did back then that was based on a movie. Another example is why was Beetlejuice and Lydia best friends in the Beetlejuice cartoon? But did it matter? Hell no! But that cartoon was much better than this one.

  • WORD!! XD

  • I fucking love this. I know, it's terrible. But I just can't stop watching it...

  • It's terrible, but I love it xD

  • Ha! It always starts with a hip hop beat then the theme plays. Like Goof Troop.

P.S. That's f***d up. Plant ate my sandwich. Time for scissors!

  • @DJaxs312 LOL! Like they said in the song in the musical version, Don't Feed the Plants!

  • @CartoonPrincess15 XD Yep.

  • OMG! THERE'S A CARTOON!? Interesting. And the weird thing is that last week my school did a production of The Little Shop of Horrors muscial. We-eird

  • WORD, Little shop!

  • at least they could take off the eyes! that maked himm looked sexier!

  • I didn't like this cartoon at first back in the day. It had to grow on me! Love the theme song!

  • @MissTia777 LOL! GROW on you. Yeah, I know that was a bad joke, but I just had to point that out.

  • @CartoonPrincess15 XD Yep. It was a bad joke.

  • SINGING FLOWERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Ah the nineties, I'm rather glad I never had to live in the nineties! This music is in want of artistic talent. Oh well I'm thinking I'm going to watch the whole season anyways just to fufill my duty as a broadway geek.

  • You know it's an early 90's cartoon when the theme song is RAP.

  • @Takeshi357 Except for the fact that people are STILL using rap in kids' themes.

  • @TehRantare Well at least it was oldschool rap. :[

  • This was my favorite cartoon when I was a kid. It only lasted one season but I would record the songs from it with my tape recorder. I still have the tapes today. It was a great cartoon. How old are you? I turn 30 in July.

  • @marisawasNOThere well actually it was a larry corman film before the musical came along which I really love cause it reminds me of a troma movie in so many ways but only in good ways

  • look it up and you want get want you expected

it shows movie instead of this show

  • I LOVE Little Shop, especially the movie! But this cartoon really never did it for me...

  • @marisawasNOThere they make cartoons out of anything they can just for money. they did it for Little Shop of Horrors, Dungeons and Dragons, and even Legend of Zelda. it's just the way things are, kids will watch anything that has moving pictures and catchy tunes, trust me.

  • this animation reminds me of a combination of beetlejuice the cartoon, chalkzone, and class of 3000

  • @marisawasNOThere Trust me I've seen worse. Hammer Man.

Also this was just a marketing ploy used to attract kids and get them to watch. Considering I was born around this time and have never heard of it, it didn't do well.

  • 4 people didn't know it was time for me to bust a rhyme.

  • 4 people didn't know it was time for me to bust a rhyme.

  • Word dawg

  • lennybloke, i can totally agree with you, this is horrendous, i watched that entire thing and there was not one second were a smile crossed my face. This is a shame, little shop of horrors as as a cartoon has a cute premise but something like this should have been handled by the people who did the beetle juice cartoon. it should be dark and funny , not this regurgitated pseudo 90 rap abomination.

  • Wow the nostalgia! I remember waking up in the morning watching this. Loved it!

  • Even though I was born in '82, I grew up with this show and enjoyed it. It wasn't until 2000 or so I saw the movie for the first time. Which I did enjoy.

  • Hey, let's make a kids' cartoon based on a musical about a giant killer plant.Maybe next they'll make one about a guy who kills people in their dreams or one about a puppet that wants to play a game.

  • GAY GAY GAY GAY GAAAY The plant has eyes, Seymore is a kid and its gay, GAAAAY, see if I EVER find who made this program they will die!! >:(

  • That plant is a straight G. I'm sure they canceled it because they didn't want kids to join gangs. YEAH BOYYYYY!

  • There is so much wrong with this cartoon. Why is Audrey Mr. Mushnik's daughter? Why is Seymour a little kid? Why is Audrey a brunette? Why does Audrey II have eyes? Why is Audrey II named Junior? Why is Audrey II nice? And for the love of God, WHY IS AUDREY II'S BLODD LUST REPLACED WITH LOVE FOR RAP?!?! What a disgrace to kid's television shows, musicals, and pretty much the entire human race.

  • @sonicperson123 It's because this cartoon is a follow up after the Movie and Audrey Jr. is the baby audrey too We see at the end of the Movie!

  • @sonicperson123 but yeah it was still pretty bad...

  • @sonicperson123 the reason? because Warner bros. turned down a prequel and Geffen made this instead.

  • @sonicperson123 its for kids assholes, what do you expect, for a plant to act slutty and eat people in a kids cartoons, jesus christ grow a brain

  • @thezebracakes For the record, you just referred to me as "assholes," but since I'm only one person, wouldn't it be "asshole?" Anyway, I don't expect the plant to "act slutty," because it NEVER does in the play or movie, so why would anybody expect that? Secondly, I watched the 1986 movie version of Little Shop of Horrors for the first time when I was EIGHT YEARS OLD. It's not that scary. Kids should be able to handle some campy, cartoon-ish violence.

  • @sonicperson123 I agree. Plus, if it's thought to not make a good kids cartoon, then DON'T MAKE IT INTO A KIDS CARTOON. I swear, common knowledge, seemingly, that absolutely no cartoon makers seem to understand. Is SAW kid friendly? Would it be good if it was made kid friendly? No, so why does anything else have that kind of justification. That, and why does everyone assume kids like rap? You have perfect reason to fly off the handle, because this is atrocious.

  • @sonicperson123 It was a cartoon made for kids. Calm down.

  • @razorblademask Yeah, I took it a bit to far. xD

  • @sonicperson123 - Well, animated series, like other things, are separate entities unto themselves. They can be based on the original story of something, but take it in a different direction. Look at the original Little Shop of Horrors film from the 1960s, and tell me if you feel THAT is very similar to the later musical version.

  • @sonicperson123 I couldn't answer the first two questions, but Audrey was a brunette in the 1960 version, & Audrey 2's name in the 1986 version was changed. in the 1960 fersion, the plant was named "Audrey, Jr.", while in the 1986 musical remake, they called him "Audrey 2." They just used the old name & hair color instead of the '86 versions.

  • @sonicperson123 In the Little Shop from 1960 Audrey was Mushnick's daughter, and THIS IS ADAPTED FOR KIDS! Could childrens see a giant killer plant?

  • @glideiz111 I was 8 the first time I saw Little Shop of Horrors...

  • This in itself is a horror; I find it insulting to Musical-kind!

  • ah....ah......ahH........AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

    SOMEONE KILL ME!!

  • ..............I didn't even get the slightest hint that was "Little shop of horrors" by THAT...whatever that was -__-''

  • 0.0 ..... I'm Frightened,

They gave Audrey II EYES, and made him RAP!!!!! I just hope whomever came up with the ideas for this show is burning in hell.

  • @bookworm9009 good greef over react much?

  • @bookworm9009 yeah, me, too. There are some dildos who now a days say every thing from the 90's was GOLD and the ALL the new cartoons suck...there are still some good cartoons on. But yeah, those above mentioned people need to see this shit or "Hammerman" or "C-Bear and Jamal."

  • @thetrophyone to be fair, C-Bear and Jamal is a good show

Sure, it's not Gold but it is a buried treasure!

  • @Kitsuneranger okay...you got me there. I did like C-bear's clothes and voice. Any show with a gangsta teddy bear is all right in my book.

  • the kid like seymore and the plant is like audrey 2

  • Whoow, memories.. I hated that bully so much >_<

  • this is horrible...

  • yeeeeaaa boy! ha ha ha

  • jesus what the hell has this got to do wif little shop of horrors, its even just called little shop :P why that kid just feedin plant water.

  • Little Shop... Of Horrors?

  • so they took something that was not a kids story and made it for kids?

  • There was a Little Shop cartoon?! LOL

  • 91 must have been a sad year for cartoons. catchy intro tho :P

  • @MRLOL785 yeah im trying to get it out of my head as we speak

  • GOD!!" THIS IS EVEN WORSE THAN THE FILM'S ENDING!!!!!!

  • :) when I was a little child (around 5 years) I loved this cartoon... after seen this intro again there are 3 words to say "What the f**k?!"

  • @Kornychan How could you LOVE this?!

  • @cheesycheeseify I dont know... :< may my sick psyche liked the cartoon... muahahahaha!

  • Thank you SO much for posting this. I've been looking for this for years now (mostly JUST the intro) It hangs on the wall of shame in the childhood of my mind. I was afraid this had been wiped from the planet. Keep finding these awful (awesome) retro videos!

  • Memoriiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeees!!! I've seen this cartoon YEEEEAAAARS ago, and now I've found it back!!! I remembered this cartoon quite vaguely, but this video just brought back memories! Kinda weird I couldn't remember much of this, I have a photographic memory, perhaps I couldn't remember because I was so little.

  • why why WHY would you do this?!!!! I played Audrey in a college production of the musical version of little shop of horrors and this makes me want to weep

  • It is stupid for someone to make media such as a tv show based off a film just to make more money.

However, I don't blame the creators of this show. If the film contained horror, it's obvious that they wanted to do something so that little children wouldn't have to worry.

Although the show may be dumb, the intro is pretty neat.

  • "Word"

  • Whenever they show the town at 0:10, I keep expecting jackie chan to run by, cuz it looks like the town from Jackie chan adventures.

  • That was painful. I can't believe Frank Oz actualy made that too.

  • A better cartoon to watch than this would be The Real Ghostbusters, I got them on DVD. : D

  • no....they didn't.....no......(dies inside)

  • One of the many cartoons based off of an 80's movie, a few of the others being Beetlejuice, Bill and Ted, Back to the Future, and plenty others, I'm sure.

  • Least we forget Ghostbusters xD

  • @CrazyBlonde13 Oh man, how could I forget Ghostbusters XD

  • @marisawasNOThere I dunno, what's the big deal? Wouldn't you rather have kids watching a cartoon based on something as awesome as LSOH than the crap they're making nowadays?

  • @Ozarkeree No. This is a perversion and mockery of Little Shop of Horrors. I feel embarrased just to be watching this video. This is like Saturday Morning Watchmen, only this was actually real.

  • @molemanninethousand You realize the movie was based on a musical that was itself a complete change from ANOTHER movie, right? There is no one LSoH. In fact, this cartoon series probably borrows more from the original movie than the 80s film you're undoubtedly thinking of (note the guy eating the flowers, Seymour's health food-obsessed mom, etc). The one exception would be Audrey II himself, who obviously borrows from the various musical versions/80s film in terms of personality.

  • @Ozarkeree It's not that they changed it. This is just BAD, and that hurts the integrity of all the real versions.

  • @molemanninethousand Inasmuch as a fictional work is "real," I suppose >__> You have to keep in mind it's not competing for the same canon, though. It's just a spin-off so kids would have something fun to watch on TV.

  • Seymore's the cooliest non green dude in the universe!

  • NEVER trust cartoons made from films

some are gr8, but most of them suck-ass

  • I remember first encountering this as a little kid in reruns on sci fi, and was disproportionately shocked/excited that there was a cartoon about Audrey II I never knew of. I watched it religiously, but of course I didn't realize how bad it was :p

  • I vaguely remember this from my childhood, but geez... seeing it 20 years later is well... just sad. I feel embarrassed for whoever was involved with this abomination.

  • @astayonix Dear lord i remember this too. Even worse than the MC Hammer show.

  • Oh, holy crap! I'd almost forgotten about the MC Hammer Show! Another terrrrrible early 90's cartoon. All I remember is one episode where everyone was obsessed with working for some reason. I heard that guy blew all his money too. Sad. ^_^

  • Well...it's honestly not as bad as "other" shows I've seen...

    :(

  • I mean intros...

  • Not as bad the Hammerman opening.

  • ahahahaha I definitely remember watching this as a little kid and had no idea it was so incredibly corny

wooo that was hilarious and sad all at the same time

  • This was my song, man.

  • Yeah, man!! Audrey 2 sure knows how to rap........

  • Comment removed

  • Yeaaah boyyyyyyy!

  • Word, li'l shaap!

  • Looks pretty awful...

  • I gotta agree with what everyone's been saying, 'cause I've loved this show since I was in 8th grade, but I still wanted to see this...I heard of it when I played Audrey (One...not Two!) in high school (3 years ago) and I always wanted just to see what it was like. Now I know I'm not missing anything but thanks for putting it up anyway

  • OK...for a 90s cartoon, I wasn't expecting the acid-trip animation. I should have known to expect the rap.

  • haha sickeningly enough i only have fond memories of this. though i was probably only 6

  • I hope Frank Oz didn't really make this. The plant dosen't even look like the one in the movie.

  • yeah! I ahte the fact they put eyes on him!!! in the movie when he didnt have eyes it made him seem more...mystirius and allot more plant like...I mean if I walked into a shop and saw a plant with eyes on it I woudl be pretty fuckin scared!

  • rap? really?

  • Oh my god what the fuck did they do to little shop of horrors? Could they make a cartoon out of anything then?

  • The worst part:

The director of the 1986 film every body knows and loves, Frank Oz (AKA Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, and YODA) created this cartoon.

  • @KelvTwelve Really? Are you fucking serious? FRANK OZ made THIS?!

  • @molemanninethousand I'm sorry. But yeah, he made it.

  • i was at the age when this show came out and i knew it was crap when i seen it and it still is. You know what your talking about . good stuff.

  • Wow....I remember this! No wonder the original movie seemd so familiar!

  • Why would they make a kids cartoon based off of that?

  • What the hell? You're kidding me???

The movie made back in the 80's was okay, but this god, this is lame..

  • God damn..thank God I was born in 1991, I wouldn't have gotten the chance to watch this crap-ass show. Only thing thats similar to the movie is Audrey II and the title.

And what the hell were they thinking making a cartoon out of the movie? I'm 18 and some parts of LSOH STILL creeps me out, especially the original ending.

Fuck it, cartoons made from popular movies always end up being shit. Producers just trying to squeeze more money from a movie franchise. Pathetic.

  • Police Academy and RAMBO were R-rated movies made into cartoons...

  • Awful. Just awful. I won't even bother looking for them.

  • i know they made crap R rated movies like rambo and Even the Toxic avenger a cartoon. the 90's was crap when it came to making cartoons for kids. little shop was garbage and made no sense

  • Wow.. this is totally worse than I remembered.

  • I dont care what anybody says. This show ROCKED! I used to wake up on Saturday mornings just to watch this(aswell as Super Mario World and a few other shows). People might say it sucked, but I personally thought it was a fun cartoon watch. Junior was that dude!

  • at least someone posted proof that existed.

"FEED ME SEYMORE! FEED ME NOW!"

  • wow. this is almost as bad as that fake Watchmen cartoon.

  • @batmous That's EXACTLY what I was thinking when I watched this!

  • Man I loved this show. I mean, it was awful, but I liked a lot of things that I'm now fully aware were terrible.

  • Wow, that looks like that sucked ass. I still like the movie though

  • Now I remember that show!

  • Actually, compared to what else was airing at the time, Little Shop was one of the more creative things that was on. Yeah, the opening is cheesy and dated, but the art direction isn't bad on the whole.

  • I....forgot....all....about....this LOL!!!!!! I remember watching this cartoon back in the day thinking "This is NOTHING like the movie".

  • Hoooly crap thankyou SO much for uploading this!!!! I heard about this show months ago and I couldnt find anything to watch of it! Omg how pathetically awesome, I love Audrey II XD

  • ...Ok, I, erhh...reallly didn't need to know about the existence of this O_o

  • great upload! if you have it could you upload the end credits? i remember that i especially liked the end credits song as a kid lol

  • Okay, I'm finally uploading the entire episode, but unfortunately the tape ran out before the end credits. Sorry!

  • Actually I wouldn't mind seeing an episode now, despite Lennybloke's objections.

I don't remember it being that bad.

  • Well I never saw the show and all I can say is thanks for the upload

  • Comment removed

  • Man, what a blast from the past. I remember watching this on tv & getting really irritated by it b/c it basically butchered all of the characters in the movie.1991 brought us not only this piece of dookie, but also the hideous "Hammerman" that featured MC Hammer & some magical shoes. I was a big MC Hammer fan until I saw that cartoon... yech...

I almost want to torture myself by tracking down an episode and rewatching it. Almost.

  • I remember this when I was 8 years old, and even then I thought it was pretty damn terrible!

  • WOW. Just...wow. The intro alone just ruins the darkness the 1986 movie had. For shame...

  • You forgot that the movie was based on an Off-Broadway/Broadway musical. What I don't care much for is the use of rap music, that's what's killing the music industry. I miss the 50's-style doo-whop flavor of the original musical...

  • Is it a bad thing that now I want to find more of the cartoon out of pure curiosity?I mean,child-versions of Seymour,Audrey, and Orin and the plant RAPS,with flower back-up singers?...it does kinda seem interesting.
