  • Consumer choices DO matter. This is one of the reasons corporations conceded to a moratorium of logging on part of the forest with ongoing negotiations. Well made vids do not equal truth, need to check our facts and not let media tell us what to think or feel. Numerous red flags in this movie. One small one: The environmentalists in the 70's called "RADICAL AND MILITANT" - movie doesn't show people acting this way. What do you call destroying earth & killing humans - RADICAL & MILITANT.

  • @SuperiorDeity Learn to use proper punctuation and sentence structure. UR LENTL EATIN LUSOR NOT AN ACHIEVEMENT.

  • @SuperiorDeity I OWNED YOU HARD.

Plus, you cannot even write out one logical sentence.

  • @SuperiorDeity HAHAHA You made even more errors!!! Your insults make it seem like you are a know-nothing foreigner who can only parrot what I say and then add insults.

    You just got owned.

  • @SuperiorDeity "Ad hominem, which is hilarious" ... I am still waiting. Is that just an incomplete sentence? Hurr Durr Derp I guess you are the stupid one.

Now, what points have I made that are wrong? Why are they wrong, in your opinion? I predict that you will just call me names and make more grammatical errors, but you can prove me wrong. Instead, you will likely stamp your feet, hold your breath and throw a tantrum like a little bitch. That's typical of your kind.

    Peace.

  • What civilization?

  • @SuperiorDeity My comment makes plenty of sense. I did not need to use ad homenim attacks to prove my point either. What would the dictionary do for me? I read history books while you read the dictionary. Did I misspell something?

  • My friend said that aside from all his catfish dying in his pond this year, like the other fish. He used to hit 15 bee's nests a year as a logger. He said that he has not hit a single nest in 3 years and the logging continues. He has to work because he is not allowed to own livestock and property taxes are there to enslave us all. Work or die.

  • Abolish property taxes and teach permaculture, aquaculture, health care and national defense to children. Without the right to defend yourself another nation will trash you just like Tibet. Clean not soilent.

  • Even the most staunch socialists could not claim that socialism actually brings greater prosperity for the majority of people as compared to capitalism. So, the environmentalism movement emerged as socialism with poverty as the goal!

Go drive small cars, eat lentils, cry about the earth - you are being used for something which you dont understand.

  • @opinion56 I have just a few questions in response to your statement that "environmentalism is the lowest point in humanity"

    1. Exactly how is that the lowest point in humanity?

Environmentalist tend to have a good point about protecting the Earth, considering its where we get our water and food from.

2.What do you propose that we do without an Earth to live on?

    You know...I mean besides extinction.

All questions posed with no sarcasm intended

    One Love

  • Excellent presentation - so many people buy into the feel good 'green' thing; fake and all about the 'brag-factor'. I think we also need to wake up (again) - there are too many of us! Just as a glass can only hold so much water, mother earth can only hold so many humans. She is clearly on the verge of breaking We westerners consume 15 to 150 times what people in the third world consume, so it is us that need to reduce, share and confront the overpopulation issue. That, or risk annihilation

  • The Earth is the source of all life, so the destroyers of Earth's resources would destroy us too, if we let them. Communities have already been destroyed, through isolation. If we don't know our neighbour, what power can one person weild against those who would destroy us? But by working together with others of like mind, in solidarity people can accomplish anything. It is not too late.

  • People, prepare. We really are past the point of regaining paradise. It's lost Read Bill McKibbon's, Eaarth.

  • I am tired of faketernative feel good douches who think they're going to save the world by wearing green hemp.

SSCS is OK by me. Thanks for nailing GP and the whalers both, Captain Watson.

    Bring Back The Can Opener.

  • This video is cynical and most of its content is questionable. We, as citizens and consumers can do A LOT to green the industry and protect our planet. In fact, it's civilian society that has the sole power to change things.

  • @2sacredspirits what exactly can we do to "green the industry" ....so you and I both can know what you're talking about.....(No sarcasm intended...really don't know another way to phrase the question)

  • @FreeMBS

We can start by buying green goods and insist that retailers provide us with earth friendly goods. We, as consumers, have tremendous power: if we refuse to buy goods that negatively impact the environment, you can be sure that the industry will adapt and give us what we ask for. Provided we are numerous.

  • Good video. But I would like to see the source of Lierre's statement about 80% of rivers not supporting life.

  • parisbleu, you're an idiot. get off the board.

  • 2:36 lol was that BP trying to be environmentally friendly.

  • great video

  • had no idea it went this far....excellent documentary

  • oh so true

  • capitalism must die or we do. If you think of yourself as an environmentalist but don't have a good understanding of the elementary in-effieciency, inherent corruption, etc., etc., of market-capitalism, then you can stop considering yourself an environmentalist.

  • great work stim.

  • Hey Stim, what is the last clip? Kuwaiti oil fires from the first gulf war?

  • @Revbone450 tarsands canada I think.

  • Hemp, nuffsaid.

  • @parisbleu read dominionpaperDOTca/articles/3450

  • @stimulator dead link

  • @MrIKILLFASCISTS I thought it was a broken link too, but it isn't. Try going to a different article on the site and then replacing the number in the URL with 3450. That worked for me.

  • @parisbleu nah what they are saying is buying some so called green products actually lines the pockets of some of the worst corporations who are playing to the green movement

  • @parisbleu The only consumer choice that can have any effect at all is to not buy anything at all from any corporation. That's still not even enough, actual action is needed.

The revolution will not be televised.

  • In May GreenPeace & other environmental groups were able to forge an agreement with these corporations for certain protections of the forest and ongoing negotiations. Watch the movie again and see what messages are in it - then check out info on the web for Boreal Forest and these the Natural Resources Defense Council.

  • This video is part of a sophisticated GreenPeace smear. The video is informing you that environmentalism is futile and hopeless. It makes it seem that green companies are just about making green money and that GreenPeace in particular pretends to work for the environment when they are just in bed with corporations. The reason for the smear has to do with the SUCCESS of environmental groups in bringing to public awareness the destruction by corporations of Canada's Boreal Forest.

  • so greenpeace is in the forestry guys 'gang'...

who is in the trees gang?

  • kick ass!

    capitalism must die

  • lol! 2:25

  • i like it when bearded doctor talks of us as lords of creation and creepy music overlay.

  • Population control.

  • WOW I Think I breath better now....Greed is the demise of all society, take what you need and need what you take. It will all go to waste if we don't do something about it.........fight against greed and the end of society as we knew it................

  • this video is the video that needed to be made.

  • @toddvanek29 I see u know nothing about the environment so u might want to educate yourself before opening ur mouth..ps I don't go to fast food junk food stores.. I think u no doubt have at least 3 meals there per day no wonder u have been dumbed down from the additives u consume

  • @WeAreWakingUp okay, sorry. I just thought it was a funny thing to say, shouldn't have responded the way I did.

  • Comment removed

  • Pack of sell-out mother fuckers.....literally. Long come is the time for change but who's got the new solution? Where's the book that gives us an option beyond capitalism? I can watch youtube on my wireless internet connection while the radio plays and the dinner cooks itself and get all morose about the bastards or I can get the nuts to go out and start bombing and killing. Or I can just be somewhere in between and really try to do MY bit. Do more than most...still, bring on the meteor!!

  • And blue used to be da color of da sea ...

  • the girl at 1:28 is fuckin hott

  • I find it strange that these corporations and people involved are just making money by any mans possible, especially when it damages their own home. What are you leaving for your children, your grand children, your linage? The truth is that we are not killing the planet, we are killing ourselves; and the corporations and people involved are committing genocide with every decision they make that negatively effects our environment. Wake up, or be woken up.

  • the pollution of the earth does not come from personal consumption it is industry with agri-business being the biggest polluter ..the greedy corporate agenda is who controls what goes on in the world..it's all about protecting the profits... those at the top don't worry about the environment they won't be affected by it's destruction.. they can afford to isolate themselves from any degradation of the environment

  • @xadam2dudex - ok then mr concerned, then dont use any of their products HYPOCRITE

  • Relax, Chicken Little, the sky is not falling.

Money is green in the US, and money is incredibly useful. It is not evil.

But theft is evil, and so is lying.

But making money is not necessarily evil, otherwise no one should get a job.

Money is a tool, and like a hammer, it can be used for good or ill.

And a love for nature and the earth must never be used to enslave us all to a huge govt/corp collusion that cares nothing for our rights or the earth.

    Socialism pollutes more than capitalism.

  • Can't we just plant more trees and restore the land and waters, and be done with it?

  • Extinction is imminent . Its not the 1st time nor the last. Hopefully we can leave a warning or direction to the next great civilization that rises out of our toxic sludge and ashes.

  • @3henchmen

    georgia guidestones

  • I've never seen so much bullshit in my life. Thumbs down on these bleeding heart fools.

  • Fuck corporations, profit and the economy... I care 100 times more for planet Earth, It's what really matters.

  • @shaolindreams - then go live in a forest somewhere without any of the products or services that corporations create or provide. dont be a hypocrite. a corporation made the computer you are on now dipshit.

  • @USMC2375 fuck you oil lover

  • @shaolindreams - how impressive. talk the talk idiot or shut your fucking worthless mouth

  • @USMC2375 jesus didnt your mum teach you any manners? rude little boy.

  • @shaolindreams - you start with fuck you and then you call me the rude one? you dipshit liberals are a fucking joke. a fucking disease that needs to be destroyed.

  • @USMC2375 come and destroy me then you little fucking keyboard warrior.

  • @shaolindreams - i dont like canada, filled with pussy french people like you

  • @USMC2375 dont be a dick all your life

  • green is the color of weed , srry had to say

  • @pasonratoe I knew somebody had to be thinking what I was thinking lol!

  • Dinosaurs will have revenge ! They will come and eat all the sons of bitches still alive!

  • @gl0bal74 I fully oppose the liability limits the government had set up. Corporations should be 100% liable for damages to people's property. Had they been liable, they would have acted to prevent this. Instead, our gov instituted a cap and put its faith in regulators. Government employees have little to no interest in serving the public interest, thats why you get treated better at McDonalds than the DMV. I also agree politicians are corrupt, thats why they shouldn't have much power!

  • @mikeboosh

what makes you think that Corporations are not corrupt? The private sector MUST have strong regulation or we will continue to see more coal mining disasters, oil spills, and e-coli outbreaks in our food supply

  • Great video that hits the nail right on the head.

  • Wow, thanks for the info. SHOCKING !

  • Love Derrick's words at the end. Thanks, stim.

    Those motherfuckers...

  • Thank you for this video.

  • Oooh the iorny. Lierre Keith the author of The Vegetarian Myth....also wearing a black leather jacket.

  • I'm convinced to buy nothing, now.

  • Everyone needs to Thumbs up/Like this video!!

  • @gl0bal74 thats a foolish statement. If you owned a portion of a corporation, you wouldn't say that. What your statement amounts to is, the government should have all control over any human assembly of people and resources. Environmentalists are so unbelievably full of BS. No one is getting paid to tell you that they are full of BS yet literally millions of peoples' careers depend upon environmental hysteria.

  • @mikeboosh

I own stock. I own bonds. Im fully vested in my corporations 401k and I still say end the corporate person.

Just look at this BP fiasco. This is what happens when you give a corporation the same rights as a citizen. Corporations have deep pockets and can buy off our representatives in Congress via legal bribes (campaign contributions)

If I was to dump the oil from my car into the sewer, as a person I could get arrested.

With BP there is no accountability. The CEO denies all

  • environmentalism is the lowest point in humanity

  • Green is also the color of sick poop :D

  • @Syeno u needa go to church.

  • we need not worry about stopping such people. god will punish them in the second coming!

  • @MrGeekifiy LoL you sir are an idiot. Good luck with that. it'll never happen.

  • @Syeno say that to my face!

  • @MrGeekifiy

:3 < ok thats you face kay?

    You. Are. An. Idiot.

I bet you think its ok to touch little boys too right? Cuz all the priests and pope does it... Religion is retarded.

  • lol for subliminal messages

  • Yeah, sad to say that's why I'm going to school for anatomical science rather than environmental. It's so god damn depressing

  • 7:22 is a beautiful image for some reason.

  • The good news is that those that come after us won't know anything better than what we've got waiting for them. And by the time they figure it out, we'll be dead.

    Suckers.

  • When will people realize that the American people work for corporations and that we have a choice as to what we purchase? A corporation (organization) that benefits from creating a valuable product leads to jobs and economic growth. When corners are cut or laws are broken, the corporation must be held accountable. People will stop buying their products or individuals may be punished.

In general, corporations do more good than harm. Those that plead for a government takeover are fools.

  • It's over, it's too late to make a difference.

  • All this is a joke to ppl in a company town. Cannot deny the existence of corporatists & dream about the world w/o them. At that point you label everyone as a sellout, democrats are sellouts, Obama's a sellout. Obama, Clinton, LBJ & FDR are anomalies. MOST of the time the GOP controls the military & corporate money & the direction of this country. They had the power to write off 3 wars as off budget so their deficits would look better. All 3 now in the Obama "record" budget.
  • Wow, that BP commercial was pure bullshit.

  • Talk is cheap. Write you Congressperson!

  • @drawme916

psh. like that will do anything.

  • @macwild1234

Corporations may have their hands in the pockets of our elected officials, but they are elected by us. If the constituents voiced their opinions, they will have to act. Corporate money helps, but we put them in office... and they know we can take them out as well.

  • Riiiight, yeah what the environmental needs now is to splinter more because of the things they disagree on. I bet companies like BP and Shell get absolutely giddy when they see videos like this.

  • The corporation -- the most iron-clad way in human history that the wealthy have ever developed to insulate themselves from the consequences of their actions.

  • @thebigcynic Your comment is so true, and utterly terrifying. So WTF do we do?

  • All we are doing is to convert all animals and plants to human beings. Once all other plants and animals are extinct, we can start thinking about becoming cannibals. Eventually we will have one big Godzilla kind of being on this planet. To minimize all this, can we stop consuming anything and everything we can. Lets not be too greedy. Why is there such a mad rush to consume everything and putting it in our bodies? We should be improving intelligence and not just physical attributes.

  • fuji water is shipped in by gas guzzling truck trailers.

  • Corporations are government charters. Corporations dont want a market driven economy, they thrive and grow under a government controlled economy.

  • Greenpeace are the biggest hypocrites out there. If you want real green, go VHEMT you bastards! Those guys are willing to sacrifice the ego for "their" greater good called mother earth. Me? Earth is responsible for our creation thus it needs to die too. Fucking hypocrites greenshit.

  • christ, come out with this movie already!

  • We are fleas.

One day the Earth will "scratch"

And we will and get pwned by the planet, as we have been doing to it.

  • @EnveeH2 LMAO!! This is not funny but the way you said it was fuckin hilarious

  • This short clip is so distrubing, to see Greenpeace sucked into the corporate sprawl. Oh my, what a mess. It is the nature of corporations which must be changed. There is a great documentary out now on the subject. They act, are required by law to act, like remoreseless, sociopathic moeny grubbers.

  • @SAMLAD2k6 Being that you condone this behavior...are you partial to having yourself killed and made into a steak? As I am sure this could be arranged, the bears that are starving right now are some hungry beasts so I am told.

  • wow.

  • Corporations should have a maximum life of 80 years and then be forced to dissolve (die).

  • @RecoMyst I don't see how that would solve anything. The people running the corp would just move over to a different one.

  • Good video. Keep thinking, exposing the popular lies \ brainwashing. Thank you.

  • I suspect that global warming is bollocks.

  • That chick running Greenpeace looks like a real cunt.

  • asdf- in what way does capitalism "manage" greed through currency? as far as i can see it only validates it through currency. management would happen through government. through a force outside of economics. profit is the bottom line in capitalism, the environment, human decency , etc. aren't considered.

also- white upper class people are't the only ones who reject corporate rule. all the socialist movements in latin america are proof of that, as well people of all backgrounds in america.

  • @1ironaut

I'm curious to hear an extremely detailed and fully implementable description of your alternative to representative democracy managing capitalism that has worked on a global level.

    Right...

  • @asdf2345234

nothing has worked on a global level. there's no one size fits all government. i think we're learning that in iraq and afghanistan. but you're admitting my point.

democracy MUST REGULATE capitalism. you can't call it fascism to set a bottom line of decency. a strong government is needed to balance the inevitably strong corporations. of the 100 richest economies 51 are corporations. 51 huge economies beholden to nothing but profit.

  • video is like 100x better with the vuvuzela button on

  • This is fucking stupid as hell. What's wrong with bureaucracy? Bureaucracy is what allows 6.3 billion people to function together. When I hear there's too much bureaucracy the first thing I think of is "Well I can't get people to agree with me so I'll create a fringe group that will get nothing accomplished".

  • @ErikBarmon Soooo....which corporations dick is pecking on your brain?

  • we need to end the legal concept of the corporate person, else things will never change

  • @gl0bal74 As long as people believe in and respect corporations they will exist. The Greek Pantheon existed clear until people stopped giving a shit.

  • @gl0bal74 We need to end currency, without it, there can be no monopolies, so there would be more stores like a grocery mall instead of international franchises like walmart that depend on sweat shops, and private real estate, shit makes no sense whatsoever.

  • @ArandurKing909 Pretty solid understanding of monopolies there, you must have got your degree from kindergarten.

  • @ArandurKing909

    "We need to end currency"

let me guess, straight out of Berkley?

  • @opinion56 No? Don't know who that is to be honest.

  • @gl0bal74

    green is the color of...MARIJUANA!

  • @gl0bal74 learning to live without money? howz that for an idea?

  • Drama, capitalizing on drama.

Where are the pictures of bicycles and horses? Walking...

Where is the video that talks about moving closer to your job so that you're not polluting the air?

I've been doing this shit for 20 years now, it's not new. Somehow most people just don't get it. Move closer to your job, or find a job near the the area where you want to live.

Then walk to work, or ride a bike. It's that easy. No more BP.

Work from home - pressure your boss(s). Seriously.

  • @Grey80002 Most people in this country do not have telecommute-able jobs.

  • just realized my comments have all been really negative. I guess being reminded we're all fucked makes me be an asshole to strangers on the internet.

  • @regurgitatedlie Some people just need a kick in the head. Beating about the bush doesn't do much, so by all means, continue.

  • @WeAreWakingUp stimulator for president? *dies* He's a fucking anarchist, what are you even saying?

  • "voting with your dollars," what a disgusting concept. by all means buy the least terrible products available, but don't kid yourself that you're doing anything.

  • @regurgitatedlie What are you talking about? As I'm sure you'd agree, there's nothing more powerful than the dollar. Don't fund shit you want to see and be vocal about it. Withholding your dollar from those who harm the environment might be one of the only weapons we have, and it is/will make a difference. Just like how vegetarianism is making a difference: there are millions of vegetarians in the world, and their collective abstinence from meat is making a certainly significant difference.

  • @bzwensky I'm disagree that it's the most effective thing you can do. I have very little money to spend (I'm a minor and can only work occasionally providing there is even work available for me), so while I avoid spending money on, say, Coca-Cola products, money is very far from the greatest resource I have, and therefore other forms of action are much more effective. The most effective thing I could do would probably be to take advantage of a very wide potential social circle (con't next post)

  • @regurgitatedlie namely my school, to build a supportive network for action. My point is that while boycotts etc have some effect they are not enough and most people's potential for change is in other areas, therefore it's counterproductive to focus on merely our ability as consumers.

  • This is absurd. They are saying that the industrial scheme needs to end? Most people don't want to live in your savage dystopian society where we still ride horses and scratch the earth with spades to grow food. The industrial sector is only going to increase in size, because thats where our civilized growth historically occurs. Personal choices are VERY important toward conservation, not drinking bottled water is a huge choice that goes a long way, for instance. Pull head out of ass.

  • People this isn't just another video for you to watch in awe on the internet. Take action, even if it is militant action.

  • The earth is fine, we will die long before the earth will die. Americans are the worst for this type of environmentalism(OMG GOT A PRIUS, SMELL MY OWN FARTS) When a prius is fuckin terrible. Just dont be assholes and use your fuckin brain if you have one left

  • @GLeNss ignorance like that makes me sick, do you have any respect for the planet? We cant get anything back that we're destroying. Its true that people who buy "safe" products often act like douchebags after the fact, but it isnt just americans.

  • @Cormierguy121 what makes you think you have the right to criticise somebody because their belief is different? do you honestly feel like anybody who doesn't 'love' the planet should not be taken seriously?

  • @DecG how could you not love the planet? it's the air you breathe, the ground you walk on, the water you drink and the food you eat. You are a part of the planet, one cell in the organism. I'd say that yes, it's a pretty illogical cell that doesn't care about the body it's part of. If that's not too metaphorical.

  • @regurgitatedlie i do love the planet, only because i love my life and everything it in, and it happens to be a pretty big part of it. however, i would never act so pompously as to see someone with views contrary to this as "illogical", going so far as to call them a "douchebag". THAT is just plain ignorance. do humanity a favour and don't make the same mistake as many other by believing your view is the 'right' one just because it is the spiritual one.

  • Ignorance is taking yourself so seriously that you have to write a paragraph because someone called someone a douchebag, lighten up and grow up.

  • @gpunk76 no, i don't believe that is ignorance. nice try though. check the dictionary first next time.

  • @DecG keep checking books for everything you need to know. Pull your panties back up and put your retainer back in.

  • @gpunk76 mature, and insightful. thanks.

  • @Cormierguy121 the earth has gone through worse, Humans are the problem. I didnt say oh we should fuck up the earth, the earth has been here for billions of years, got bombarded by asteroids, ice ages etc atm we are just another version of that, the earth will reclaim itself after we are gone it always has. This planet is the only one we got and we are fucking it up. I didnt say it was just americans I said they were the worse(Is the majority of this video about the rest of the world? :P)

  • Geenpeace is part of the problem...

Did anyone ever heard them talking about CHEMTRAILS???

  • I've got a carbine harvester and I'll give you the key!

  • Best episode yet....thanks Stimmy

  • "End:Civ" Oh yeah, I'm sure you'll get plenty of people on board with that...lulz
