Doc, don't say you never wanted to be a doctor, I am a cancer and gall bladder disease survivor on account of someone like you who studied and learned how to save lives and relieve suffering in your patients. Thanks.
hard to believe these songs are almost 50 yrs was in grade shool and they st6ill hold up great songs and music in the 60s and 70.s my transistor radio music
Let's not forget his most recent incarnation, sadly whacked, as Rusty Melillo. Who, as the Shah of Iran said, was "The Mayor of Munchkkin Land". Love Frankie.....a real survivor.
@MsJollycholly Well I never wanted to be a doctor. I wanted to be a rocknroll star. BUT I have no voice cannot carry a tune and forget the words to "row row row your ship" [....err "boat"].. But I perhaps, using auto tune have become a Beatle or Art Garfunkle
when i was in medical school [blantant plug meaning i know what i'm talking about] 1971-75 i must have seen the 4 seasons 4-6 times at Batchelors 3 in ft lauderdale. a small club by today's standards singing straight into mic, no huge equipment, no doppler shift, red shift, quantum gravity blah blak---He had perfect pitch, true falsetto and hit every note--no problem. he's the genuine article. so was jay black of jay and the americans
@uzpeep agreed. Doc, Amen to that. Saw Four Seasons at Convention Hall in Asbury Park in 1968 (along with tons of other great acts and there were LOTS of talented singers back in the day with perfect pitch.) They didn't need autotune and a decent ticket for general seating was around $15.00. I thought I'd take my niece to see Taylor Swift (actually not a bad singer) only to discover the CHEAP tix were $350.00 ...........ugh. There IS John Legend. Truly talented.
I have seen him live quite a few years ago at state fair park in Milwaukee, and he could hit the high notes then, but not for all of the songs. Let's remember this guy went through a period of severe hearing loss. I know he had a three octave range at one time. Seems not many people know either of these facts..
Thaks for posting this. I am a great fan of the Four Seasons but have always doubted the authenticity of those soaring falsettos like the one right at the end of "Opus 17." I have never heard anything in the live performances that suggested that Frankie could ever hit and hold such notes.
Feel free to contradict my view but only if you have seen him live and know the notes that I am referring to.
@leoseries Dear leo I have seen the four seasons with Frankie Valli 52 times in my life, many years ago he could hit all those high notes but in the last 20 years he dosent go that high anylonger, but let me tell you that he is still a great snger, and performer. He still puts on a great show.
Two great songs by one truly fantastic musical act, Frankie Valli and The 4 Seasons. By the way, both of these songs are featured in the mega-hit musical "Jersey Boys."
Awesome video to go with two wonderful songs, Steve!! Both songs are beyond Classic to me with many, many Great memories attached! Featured on my channel right now! Thanks!

@uzpeep Was that the Batchelors 3 of New York Jets fame Joe Namath?
54nomore 7 months ago
@54nomore yes it was. There was a Batchelor's 3 in Ft Lauderdale and I believe one in NY. Never saw him there but met lots of Miami Dophins.

Thanks Steve so much for putting up these songs. I've searched for ages to try and get Opus17. It's a classic.
I also liked your video graphics - very nice.
