so, when you are stoning away with a sample on our mpc's long time enough .. does it also look like to you, that the pads look exACTLY like on the box it came in!!!X-S
Great beat! Just wondering if you do any dubstep bruv? If so post a video on how you did it. If not then I know how hard it is to make dubstep. its just that im finding it hard to get the right wobbles i need out of reason. But im gettin there with the help of others cheers for this tutoral anyway. Become a learning curve!
@DentonDickerson you open the ReDrums or your kicks snares etc.in create instrument then browse for where you put it and just double click. But you gotta browse for it in the Redrum Drum Computer or you won't hear anything on the other devices
@DentonDickerson well it's easier because you got your kick on 1 tour snare on 2 so you can play all of those on your keyboard like this you would only have one sound and would have to record the snare and every drum sound separately.Which would be a BIG pain in the ass..xD.Anyway glad i could help PM me if you got more questions..PeAcEE...
this is a good beat. above average compared to other youtubers. i myself am starting out a youtube account (it was long overdue). you can check out my page and hear some free profesionally mastered beats!
ok i just bought reason 4 today, i have no clue what im doing but i have been watching tutorials. im still a little confused how to set wires and which devices i should be using. can someone help me out here??
@deps420 reason 4 is very versatile. i use it once in a while, and honestly, u cant go wrong if u keep watching tutorials. all the devices in there have their own capabilities. i suggest u take each device one by one and learn all of them before you can get really into making music.
Nice vid. I've been working Reason 4.0 for about 5 months now. It is a crazy unbelievable program. I have produce several tracks on there now. Anyone interested of hearing some of the music i had sequence using Reason. Just holla at me. Peace
Hey sick beat what was the name of the synth or piano you used at the end of the tutorial part one? Ive been looking for that type of sound thanks bro.
Hey can anyone give me tip or two in regards to adding that nice scratchy sound you hear when you play old vinyl records to a track or instrument. Lol please don't just say "use Scream" it doesn't produce the results I'm looking for : /
can someone please tell me how to arrange a hip hop song .... i can make a song fine i just dont know how to arrange it into verses and chorus' intro outro etc...
if you havent got money for a keyboard, Bome`s mouse keyboard will convert your computer keyboard into a musical keyboard which you can use with reason 4, i suggest you just google it, ps. its postcardware (free), there is step by step guides how to set it up with reason and is fairly easy as long as you follow the steps. this doesnt count as spam does it? xD anyways just a little tip for us who spent our salary on reason and are having an "inside the house" month hehe xD
Well, its all personal preference what you want to use in your song. I made this hip hop beat very quick only for tutorial purposes to show how to use the program.. The quality of the beat wasn't the focus here.
No you dont absolutely need to have a midi keyboard or synthesizer. You can use your mouse to draw the notes you want. However, making music using reason is much more intuitive with a keyboard, rather than a mouse.
Hey Crypto, if you fast forward to around 1/4 into the video, the tutorial starts, It says to fast forward in the yellow box.. I was debating whether to do this or not.. But ya, there's also 4 parts to this tutorial, checkem out on my channel if you cant find them thru the searches

I didn't mean the quality (it's good :P)
I meant if I wnat to make a beat on reason do I absolutely have to have a MIDI keybopard or a synthetiser ?

Here's a little tip.
If you type a time marker in the comments, like this 2:08
it turns into a blue clickable link, and it will jump people to that spot in the video, if they click it.
