  • really, all you need is yourself and your determination to practice. if you really want tools, go out in nature and find a feather, a shell, a rock or pinecone, and something reddish. great video and so true. blessed be!

  • Love your comment about why one of the stones could be representative of the god as a symbol, it made me smile. I love how you've taken things just laying around and turned them into magickal tools. Even your altar cloth was made instead of bought. I adore it all! What feather is that? It's lovely, looks a lot like it could be owl or hawk.

  • @AshenDress Thank you! I think it is an owl feather :)

  • Oh LOL!! u wont be wondering which is the mortar or the pestle now would u?

  • the very first circle i cast was all natural, made from things i found when walking to the woods. i found a feather, there was a lake near my house, so i managed to pick up some shells and rocks as well. it was a brilliant summer afternoon, so i even had fire ready at my side :) to me, that is true witchcraft.

  • @HopeAngel777 That sounds wonderful! :) x

  • I understand what you mean about feeling closer to hod outside rather than working with tools and stuff, but I have to say, when you do have the official things you need to, t does make it feel a lot more special. It is good to know that pu are using something that was made just for doing whatever out is you are doing. But, yeah, I completely understand. And can I ask, where in England you are from, cuz I can't tell from your accent. I'm in Birmingham. Blessed be.

  • I don't know if you do an fairy magick or believe in fairy, but this pertains to your wands. The only wood I would watch out for is Elder. Fairies are very protective of the Elder tree. Just a heads up. Also I love natural witchery and wicca. I often go to island nearby and find all the representations and set up an altar without any man-made objects.

    Bright blessings )O(

  • @witchyboy20 I'm not into fairy magick yet, though it is something I am looking into soon :) "Elder be ye lady's tree, burn it not or cursed you'll be"

    x

  • @Pagyptsian Fairy magick is very natural and very spiritual. If you get a chance to look at this book, I recommend A Witch's Guide to Faery Folk by Edain McCoy. It's a great read and full of helpful info.

  • @witchyboy20 Thank you! I'll search it :) x

  • @inquiringalien I use a lot of sea glass now :) x

  • Could it be just a drawing to stand for something. Or would u prefer objects?

  • @MagenRayne Drawings would work find too! :) So long as when you look at it you know what it means.

  • Well, I buy some things. Whatever calls to me I guess. My athame's a letter opener in a dragon sort of design. Thats symbolizes fire to me. And I found my wand. And I'm happy with it. Well, I'm a mixture xD

  • @Azareas123 Yeah I do have a lot of bought things too ^^ But it is good to be able to make them! :) x

  • @Pagyptsian Yeah it is because you put more of yourself into it. And also, we're both in England! haha I just realised

  • @Azareas123 yay to England! ^^

  • @Pagyptsian yup :) haha

  • you know all that stuff is just awesome!

it ijust breathes with spirit of goddess and god!

  • @ShaktiSheeva Thank you! :)

  • everything you need you find in nature. I made my own runes, my wand, my amulets [out of wood], I'm planing to make my own tarot cards cuz I can draw that, they no problem for me, my black miror si just a picture frame, took the glass and sprai painted the back of the glass, I made my own pendulum out of a see shell and a little silver chain from my grandma! Etc, you get the point

  • @LgGerminator Oh yeah, I also made my own shamanic rattle, nothing is hard to do if you al least dedicate some time to it and try to do it!

  • @LgGerminator wow that is really lovely!!

  • only thing that costs me money are incense and candles...i made everything else

  • @DodoVonD That must be lovely :)

  • Wow...! I literaly love you! We are the same! I havnt actually met someone yet with the same attitude as I do and soo strong too! Keep it up! Are you part of a coven? I want to join one but I'm too young I think... Only 13...

  • @tinylunn yay! Thank you! To join a coven I reckon you are too young, but I became wiccan when I was 14 so you can see be a good wiccan. You have a lifetime to join a coven so I say practice solitary and get to know others aroudn you if you can - but don't commit too soon to a group :)

  • @Pagyptsian thanks for the advise! i still have a slight problem... my folks dont like me using candles or joss sticks and i cant find any spells that dont use them! what can i do? is there a substitute to candles and joss sticks or do you know any spells that dont use either?

  • @tinylunn Well I personally make my own spells, so I'd say if you can't get a hold of candles or joss sticks then you could choose to create a smell that doesn't need them. For example, instead of writing 'prosperity' on a piece of paper and burning it in a candle (wealth spell) you could write it on paper and soak it in water, or bury it?

It depends what you want to replace the candles and incense for?

    x

  • @Pagyptsian cool! thank you! you are really helpful! sadley my parents dont take me seriously and they think its hilariouse, me being a wiccan but that doesnt matter! i will come back to u 4 more advice next time i need it!

  • @tinylunn Oh don't worry about that :) I'd prefer that they'd laugh than ban you or get angry. You're young so the won't take it seriously, but you'll prove it to them, just like I did with my mum.

I'll always be hear to help :)

  • @Pagyptsian hehe thanks your really kind and helpful!

  • "idk if it's legal, but i did" Rofl! Wow that was smooth. just say it to the world! ;D And yur just like me! i just use mothers earth items ^_^ Theyr right there on the floor, why not use them? They have the earths energy and it gives me this energy that makes me strong ,calm, and just this feeling that i just can not explain. its a beautiful feeling if you ask me.(:

  • @PukeZombies Absolutely true!

    x

  • LMFAO! ah i love this, your funny

  • @youbenhad2 Thanks lol!!

  • Your love of spiritual ways shows in your videos and there is a maturity about you, maybe you have done this before in a past life, I know I have. I took to it like a duck to water at a young age, even questioning life at the age of 8 which put me on a journey. As you have a rapport with Egyptian deity and Wicca, so am I with Buddhism and Wicca. May your studies continue to fulfill you and may you continue to share your findings. x

  • @katey3 Thank you!! Blessings on your journey!

    x

  • You are such a wise spiritual little being and WAY younger than me. I cannot fault what you have said and advised here, it all makes total sense and witchcraft is not about expensive tools, nature provides ALL you need and if the intention is there that a certain natural item represents earth or water or whatever, then THAT is what it is. This video is wonderful, along with others I have seen. You are a born natural at this way of life. Blessed be. x

  • @katey3 Thank you so much for your kindness :) I am really happy that you think so. I have been working really hard on learning over these past three years; I love it and so enjoy learning about it.

    x

  • @MsMagicjellybean I love them! They look so pretty and are naturally charged! :)

    x

  • Thats a smart idea i never thought of that

  • those " morter & pestle "stones look great for runes

Great video by the way !!!!

  • @niamh2739 Thank you!

  • @Pagyptsian

Any time sweety, but you deserved the compliment.

  • This is awsome! I do the same too! :) I love your pinecone with the glitter! :)

  • @wolfiehollyhocks Thanks!!

  • People quit a religion because they dont have money? Then it was never a religion to them, it was just a fad.

  • @MickScarborough Totally agree, which is a sad fact :/

  • Exactly! Blessed Be!

  • You body is your temple, The most powerful tool is your mind. Take yourself mentally to that sacred place, Anything is possible. The power of imagination is endless. Otherwise, Objects found in nature are the best. They will usually find you. The Earth, the air, The fire , and The Water, You can't get any more basic then that. Do you think the ancient people bought fancy things? No. The used what found them, and what felt right. BB )O(

  • @sweetpixie69 Well said :) Couldn't agree more!

  • I absolutely love your sentiments in this video - like touching God as you walk the earth, and breathing her in as you stand outside - I was drawn to Wicca for that very reason - and it was lovely to be reminded of that - thank you so much

I have posted your video on my BeginnerWitch.info site - it is great :)

  • @7dayguru Thank you, that is exactly what gave me faith in wicca :)

  • This is such an absolutely wonderful tutorial for those who are trying to do wicca on the inexpensive side. The hole essencence of Paganism/Wicca is nature itself. Also remember that you can always carve wood or stone, or use paints to liven up your altar if need be. I get pine for smudging from trees nearby. Blessed Be!

  • @odjitsanura Thank you! And yes great ideas :)

  • sea glass runes would be so pretty!

  • my parents can't handle wicca (they're catholic) and so this is extreamly helpful. for fire i'm planing on getting a rock and i'm going to try to burn it to get scorch marks on it, but as always, i want to annoy you with a question: i have pieces of amathis (wow, i spelled that wrong lol) and pyrite (some people know it as "fool's gold") and I wanted to put them in my altar. though i'm not sure what they should be for. any ideas?

    <3

  • @AnnabellaChase Burning ti will be such a good idea! Check the link I will send to you via message :)

    x

  • This is sooo helpful to me.

Im always broke, so DIY is the best way for me :) i have this stick that i was attracted to the first time, so i picked it up took it home and consecrated it and now i use it as a wand or i direct energy through it.

Also my family is christian and link wicca and paganism to satanism. So im a broom-closet wiccan, using these things i could always say its just a decoration table with natural, nature things i found pretty. As they know im a nature person, its good :)

  • @vikki12307 Yeah that is a good idea! It is so much better if you don't have money and especially if your family just don't understand :)

    x

  • Very good video,a very usefull and informative. thanks and blessed be

  • I went looking for some shells for you at the beach today but they were all rubbish :( :')

  • @xSheIsMySinx Owwwh :/ Was it the beach at crap end? I will ask toby's parents where we found the curly shells. Although if you go right up the beach (at crap end - won't say the real name) then there are some cool flat ones?

  • @Pagyptsian it was shitcliff area near the crap pavilion. hmmm i might look next time :P x

  • Love the video. I love learning more about making my own tools. In today's economy you have to learn to be frugal with almost ever part of your life. without the enphasis on the cost of things you can put more energy in the intent. Keep up the good work and keep the vids coming

  • @willowssister Thank you!

  • wonderful!! i feel the same way. Wicca and nature based religions are obviously about nature, so why not utilize the tools that nature gives you? i also loved when you said you felt closer to god when you're outside rather than indoors in a fancy church or something. i feel the same. that's why i love outdoor ministry [in Christianity]. you get to know god a lot better and feel closer to god out in nature

  • @AlicexxLolita Great to hear! Thank you!! x

  • @AlicexxLolita I feel the same way I have an altar in my home but I know deep down I am a green witch I want to be out in nature but some days the weather is a pain especially during winter

  • @edster1973 i know what you mean about the weather. i'm from Michigan and Michigan has really extreme weather. buti push through it. i like going for walks in thewinter actually lol that season is so beautiful to me.i feel really connected to the earth when i do that

  • @edster1973 I enjoy walking in the crunchy snow too on a nice crisp evening when the sun starts making the sky turn the pretty pinks and purples.

  • What is more important in Wicca, magick from within or rituals as you are showing in this video? In any religion, there are a commercial side. Again, what is more on spiritual growth: our light from within our souls or what we show from without? I am new to Wicca, 2007, and I feel that I should focus on the light from within myself.

  • @bb112266 Definately! The light within yourself is directly connected to God and so we should be able to independantly explore our individuality. God and Goddess, (and thus nature as their manifestations) and self are the vital parts of wicca - more important than rituals or spells. The rituals however are a favoured method of worship, but not the only way.

  • this video wasreally good, i LOVE LOVE LOVE the prayer braclet

  • @SilverButterflyWings Thank you!

  • awesome ideas!!!

  • Excellent vid, as I have heard this a bit too. In my practice, just about all my tools were given to me or I found, and most are not definitive "witchie tools" per say. For example, my cauldron is a Native American painted pot and stand given to me years ago. My wand is a staff, a large branch I found. My atheme is a blade my brother gave me. I also have a found feather, etc. It's the intent, not the tool. The tools are just things to help make us feel connected in the process.

  • @Chetallica Even if they aren't wicthie traditional they still must be very lovely and work wonderfully! :)

  • I love this video!! it has helped me a lot because I have been sad lately because I can't get the tools, at least I thought.

the only thing i'm concerned about is that satin that i'm supposed to use to work with tarot and use as an altar cloth or something :/

  • @TheWiccanDuckie Please don't be sad! Findyour tools! :)

In my opinion it doesn't have to be satin, but then I'm not a professional tarotist. You could make your own cloth but it is ok to sometimes buy things if you need to, so is buying some fabric an option?

  • @Pagyptsian Hopefully in later months it will be. Money is really tight right now. I just bought some runes to practice with before i make my own and it came with a cloth so I was going to use that for my tarot and runes :] and I would make my own, but sowing and stuff, not my thing. :P my fingers would be covered in band-aids lol. and right now the altar cloth is a pink fabric that came with some roses the boyfriend got me, so I try to be resourceful!

  • @TheWiccanDuckie That sounds beautiful :)

  • I love that you made this video! It's so unfortunate that people quit because of money...

  • @Sir4sissors Yes :( Although if they did then maybe they didn't know enough ebout wicca in the first place?

    x

  • @Pagyptsian Very true

  • Great video! I totaly agree with you. Nearly all of my "magickal" things are things I found outside or made myself. Of course there are exceptions, e.g. candles. (I buy them)

I love all my stuff and even though I could buy my tools (at least some) I don't do so because for me living a religion which is "nature based" does mean that I work with nature as much as possible. (It's also a lot more eco-friendly to use natural things.)

  • @dontreallycarexxxxxx Totally agree! It's a nature based religion so work with nature! :)

  • I use feathers as besoms too! This is such a great video and I totally agree! My first cauldron was a large shell. I really love homemade tools because you know that no one else has the same tool as you!

You really do have the true spirit of Wicca in your videos. Blessed be!

    x

  • @ErrienderRavenheart Thank you so much!!!

    Blessed Be!

    x

  • great video.....thank you for sharing this "smiles"

  • Wow this is a cool video!! we were gonna bye a set, but you are right it would feel more like apart of you to find them and thats what we will do

  • @envyisasin It would be lovely if you found it all in nature! :)

  • I have thrifty witch videos on my you tube channel that teach you how to find what you need in second hand stores come on over and have a look from choosing tools chalices to finding an altar and a book of shadows at wal mart

  • @edster1973 Ahh that would be really useful!!

  • Wonderful video!! Thanks for sharing!!

  • go read austin osman spare and his "the book of pleasure" Im well impressed by your intuitive approach a shaman was never given a book of recipes he wrote the book himself

  • I'm jealous of your access to the ocean =)

  • most of my "witchie" things have been given to me in the past or i have found in nature such as a pebble from a beach , the only things i really buy are crystals

  • @muffinsX094 I have found quartz and obsidian on the floor in Wales before!

    x

  • mm,

great vid! whats the artists name? i mean how you spell it?

    bb af84

  • @AmberFox84 Michelle Lee Phelan :) Her work is beautiful! Search "Dreams of Gaia" in to Google and you'll find her site.

    x

  • good on you hunny. the best tools are the ones that you make and find around you

  • The best advice I can even give is that: The God and the Goddess provide what you need for your practices, all you have to do is look around when you go for a walk. Costs nothing and you're using the most natural tool for your magick working.

  • @LadyCrove Really inspiring!

  • To all of the new witches out there nature has every thing for you to worship nature all you have to do is go for a walk near the water in a medow any where there is nature you will find your tools all you have to do is look..

  • @edster1973 Perfectly said :)

  • This is such an important video, as so many think you have to have the expensive tools to practice. You just proved you don't!! I think hand made tools are best and connect you more to nature. Awesome video!!

  • @MsGoldenGirl5 Thank you! Totally agree!

  • the stone looks like a figurine of a woman...all curvy with a head :) x great vid!!!!

  • @sleepymooxx I hadn't noticed that! x

  • If it wasn't already mentioned... I wanned to add that even wands aren't required for circle casting... I've know some to use the pointing of a finger as the atheme or wand for casting and it is just fine for projecting energy... example... in the practice of Reiki... we use our hands to project energy through us into the aura and body of the receiver... no wand or other tools are generally used. Our own hands are magnificent :o)

    ...Blessed Be- eternally )O(

    Bro.-LightShadow~

  • @lexxintegra That is absolutely true! Often your own body can be all the tools you need!

    x

  • fantastic ideas! you know i receive many emails from single mothers who cant afford tools, also, so this is a great video for everyone xxxx Blessings and thanks xxx

  • @Helenhealer Thank you! I hope this message gets out to those people :) xx

  • Lovely video!

I hope everything is going well. :D

  • Very true! :) Loved this video!

  • its about most teenagers want special cool tools like in charmed and such

they are not happy with homemade stuff!!!!!

i make EVERYTHING i can myself. if i cant buy something i try to make it, exept for some things like incense and such ^^

    love the video ^^

    bright blessings ^^ xxxx

  • @Xyengine Great to hear! It is so much better to make them yourself or let nature do it :)

  • @Pagyptsian ive put 2 videos as video responses and i made them right after i saw your video ^^ bb x

  • @WiccanSilverDragon Thank you :)

  • If wicca is a religion or a spiritual path, it should not cost a penny at all. But there is an industry that is based on the myth that one needs to have "experience" before one can do anything, and hey presto, the "experience" cost time and money....

  • @BespokeGroupUK Also i want to add that this is one of the most humble, beautiful and honest pagan videos without pretensiousness and without the need for excessive dogma that i have seen. Very pleased to have subscribed.

  • @BespokeGroupUK Thank you very much that is very kind.
