@jackdach If you were to go boating on Great South Bay on a summer weekend, you would easily understand all the negative comments. Yes, this anchorage (Sore Thumb) is actually adjacent to where the bay & ocean meet (Fire Island Inlet). Between the swirling tidal currents, & the notoriously bad bottom for holding an anchor, any boater who knows what they are doing will put out their heavier gear & anchor ALONE. So, right when the tide turned, all these idiots were on their way!

Thats is the Sore thumb Suffolk County NY Town of Babylon. Somebody does make mention to Zachs Bay but that is not Zachs Bay. Zachs Bay is a located off the State Boat Channel just east of the Jones Beach theatre. But I agree, they most likely are all from the Massapequa (Nassau County) Sea Ray Convention. This is what happens when some guy with a big check book goes out and buys something he/she has zero training at operating. Luckily, nobody was hurt.
