  • I can do it in redstone... hehe

  • Noob.

  • id love to change the software of that robot to make it only turn 45 degrees instead of 90 degrees and watch as it makes the rubix cube explode

  • Fake... its obviously stop motion you can see other pieces that are nowhere near the moving piece...

  • @samzone10 stop motion? Don't think so.

It would take a lot more time to make a stop motion like this (30fps * 43 second video is about 1300 separate pictures) than it would to build it. It has also been done many times before this, so nobody would even bother faking it. I just hope you were trolling.

  • why do this when you can solve it yourself you noob!!!

  • @bluelegecy In the future humans need to solve this on distant planets that are to radioactive for us to visit ourselves

  • @mucknfold wtf? are you mindfucked? come on, you gotta be kidding.

  • @bluelegecy There is no fooling you!

  • @mucknfold How many tabs of acid are you on right now?

  • @PSPHaxxorPlayer863 None, the question is how many are you on if you think I was serious?

  • @mucknfold May I remind you that this IS the internet.

  • @PSPHaxxorPlayer863 No i´m pretty sure when someone is trolling, Apparently not you. Now get off my cloud.

  • @mucknfold I never said anything like that.

  • Y U NO GO FASTER ?!!!

  • fuck fuck

  • Centers missing? Rather how to solve a void cube.

  • @ExoVampire

the center cube on each side only rotates

  • wow. but no centers

  • So you could simply have remembered how you shuffled it and then told the machine to do the same thing backwards.

  • How is it getting feedback of current positions?

  • Or you could get a brain, not be lazy and actually solve it urself

  • @ccurley98 NO, we will be lazy cuz this is america dammit!

  • @ccurley98 It takes a lot more brains to create a machine that can solve a Rubix Cube than to solve it yourself.

  • That's a cool way to solve a cube. Did it like calculate the fastest way?

  • rotors from floppy ?

  • @juliend699 lol u r rite

  • It looks like they're torturing that cube!

  • Gods algorythm?

  • but will it solve ANY combonation and if so how?

  • wow

  • gig' em aggies!

  • I'm 95% sure that this video is approving comments be4 letting them be posted.

  • man howd you do that

  • Lego can do this faster

  • why build a machine to do that it takes all the fun out of it

  • you know this is actually not a rubiks cube...

  • ...

  • Looks like im the only one watching this in 2011? lol

  • THAT was awesome. Great job

  • i like how everyone thinks this is amazing. ive seen one that can solve a rubiks cube in 5 seconds. and it doesnt matter how its jumbled up. it solves it in 5 seconds flat

  • well, you could start with it solved, then calculate the moves you made to unsolve it, then program the machine to do it in reverse

  • nerds are so freaking hot it's almost unfair.

I also love how you would "defend to the death."

A passionate brainy guy. Who'da thought that combination existed?

Oh, and ah... cool machine you've got there. ;)

  • damn, how long it take to make it?

  • @nipclaw 4 weeks

  • sweet

  • That's Cool!

  • cool i want one o well

  • cool robot

  • awesome hehe

  • What does the system save? Numbers and colors of each one or what? o.o

  • good job

  • n1 gj

I like the machine. Looks complicated.

  • ?puedes aser uno con un dedo?

  • Wow.. Thats amazing. I am from A&M Qatar Campus and I am member of A&M Robotics club. I know about the Algorithm(s) to solve this cube. There are like 8 algorithm to solve in depending on variation. Anyways, nice job. And Gig'em. And people dont argue, if you dont understand it.

  • awsome

  • nice

  • im confused

  • dude thats awsome!! good job

  • where can i get one

  • AWESOME!!!!

  • thats awseomw how much did it cost?

  • .... holy crap

  • reverse scaramble!!!!!!

  • wow u reply every comment

  • Thats pretty friken sweet

  • That is so awesome! =D

Does it scan the cube's status before every turn, then solve it the fastest way it can?

  • Good job.

  • Awesome!

  • how did it know what the starting configuration was? was ther some software that told it the moves to solve the cube? i det you would get some nice money with that kind of technology

  • haha very cool

  • why are you the only one responding to your own video ...

  • ok thts freaking awesome u guys are geniuses and i dont think its fake at all good work now if only i could figure out how to make one and thn id actually be able to complete a Rubiks cube lol :)

  • mh

    bien

  • I myself am a aggie and this is AWSOME. I life in Baton Rouge, so to all you LSU fans out there, Gig'em Aggies!!!

  • Nice. Research & technology continue to advance. Keep up the good work.

  • an amazing solver. is it able to solve from any mix, or just a fixed one?

  • thats cool

  • really good vid

  • can you make it go faster?

  • Cool! Gig 'Em Aggies

  • wow dude you made that unbelieveable A+ but a real life robot could do that but try solving it lol

  • slightly epic

  • ok their really not tht hard to solve

  • how it works? does it just remember the order it shuffled it? or does it read it or something

  • hmm maybe it just scrambles it then just does oppitsite... watch my vids

  • this is so awsome I want that just to show off and solve all cubes within 1 minute lol

  • ooooooooo!

  • I can see how that works, if it records what turns have been done then it knows where all the colors are (or you could have used cameras, i don't know) then it's just the same kind of software that finds the fastest solution like in 3D virtual rubik's cubes, except it issues commands to motors instead of 3D boxes :D

  • is it algorithym or is it just a reverse solve

  • That's Awesome!!!

  • LOL

  • hey dude :D that was awesome!

  • wow, you built it? asweome :3 it real cool :D

  • holy crap thats cool

  • y do u write all the comments???u should let ppl do it

  • get me one of those!!!

  • the center pieces don't move so it doesn't matter if the machines are there.

  • wow

    xD

  • very very very nice

  • mkm

  • ummm wats with only the autor of the video commenting

  • wow, and you built that?

  • that is cool but whats the point?

  • I went on this type of course over the Summer thataso lasted 4 weeks. I designed and built a system to use on cars to keep safe distance between the vehicle in front. That idea is better than mine though :P

  • cool

  • hum well the comments aren't showing but meh,

thats good does it use a computer and sencers?

  • cool

  • for some reasons the comments don't cascade unless you do view all comments...wish i could figure out why

  • what a waste of money

  • Very cool.

  • i prefer people doing it, cuz it is cooler to see how our brains work so fast.

  • i could do it faster than this machine!

  • go atm WOOT!

  • weird machine....were you giving it commands or did it solve it itslef?

  • lol

  • this is sik nasty

  • haha i love how this is a legitimate project and there are kids trying to tell you that you recorded it off the tv or that you cant really prove that it solves a rubiks cube.

  • super :D

  • WTF

  • looks like that R.E.M. album cover. lol

  • Cool. Now that you are prepping for finals, some questions. How did you set the initial condition? Did the machine do the scramble under manual control, etc?

Also - how did the machine learn the initial positions of the cubes/colors? Was optics involved or just enter the patterns by hand?

  • o.o weird

  • I heard that theres always a solution in max 22 moves

i think the robot do this

  • Ha, you can build a robot that will solve a rubik's cube, but can't figure out why the comments dont cascade. Ha, sorry.

    Cool vid, though

  • Its not hard to do, just 6 stepper mottors connected with a microcontroller, and a simple programm tells those mottors how many rotations they must do for each command step. The command is structured in a way that it always follows the same pettern. Aint easy if you are just a studient and this guy did a good job with it!

  • OMG IN 23X LAWL

  • Great! U all must be very very smart to do this. Awesome, 5/5.

  • how much is this contraption

  • Oh my god, it's simply amazing! What did you study? Computer engineering or what? :o

  • nice

  • AWESOME!!

  • hmm the very same thing I was thinking of 2 hours before I watched this vid.

  • lol nice

  • i believe its lagit, that is also quite stunning, no wi want to invent a simmilar machine, all you would have to do is command it to follo algorithems baed on wha toyu tell it

  • wow

  • weird

  • WHOOP! Gig'em Ag's.

  • wow

  • WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!

  • to bad it wasnt like lightening

  • THATS COOL

  • That's crazy!!!

  • that is so cool that what i call tha gang movster oh yeah

  • that is very good, well done!! ^.^

  • insane. it would take me weeks to find a way to program this.

  • Thats cool!

  • sop commenting to your self

  • one simple question. WHY?

  • thats cool

  • this is really cool. best design ive seen so far.

  • coolio! did you make that of can I buy it?

  • ROFL, i just find that very funy

  • dude i saw this robot do a 5x5x5 in 8 seconds

  • cool

  • did you just have a long conversation with yourself?

  • wow thats awesome you should try and make it go really fast and try to break some record!!

  • looks kinda cool!

  • nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i want!

  • that's pretty sweet

  • whats the algoritham ?

  • but see why would u need that when you could solve it since you are a genius and built that thing?

  • why do you post so many comments on your own video

  • hahahah when it first spun, it made me jump. i wasnt expecting that hahah

  • kool

  • omg LIES lol this thing is awesome, how does it turn?

  • Hi, its pretty cool, but how to you enter the parameter of the cube ? Does the system see it with a camera of something ?&

  • awesome

  • Self replying??

  • i could do a real rubicks cube in less than 4 seconds!!!

  • OMG IT MOVED
