  • Stupid!!!!! =Stefan=

  • 0:01 Hey! The planet is sucking itself up! That never showed in the original one, 0:42 Man that looks so fake! And Kirk looks more like Tim Allen!

  • What's she so upset about? It's _her_ own hands grabbing her tits.

  • If you people really want to get anal about this, they don't even have the pointed sideburns... but who cares, it's funny.

  • Funny!

  • Ah, it was nice to see him take it in the fag-pipe one last time.

  • Thats messed up for one Starfleet officers would understand the desasimble of atoms and the rebuilding of the to get them from one place to another and to it was all ok until scotty for one kirk never says i need a froly you wally and to the engineering room was all wrong that engineering room was of the federation starship Enterprise NCC-1701-D

  • scotty- yes again, it was the last tv show in 1969 ,jtk was girl in his body too.

  • Wow memories :-) Thnx for posting.

  • This is sacrilge and blaspheme. Who is responsible for this? I want heads to roll!

  • How about a light saber not the umbrella :-) LoL :-)

    Rest in peace James doohan

  • why dot he graphics look better then TNG graphics lol

  • that was the wrong enterprise's engineering room 0___0

  • Never seen it B4.

  • most of the sets used TNG were redressed from the motion picture

  • That was one weird commercial.

  • Obviously this was during the Dominion War.

  • 23rd century ship using a mid-24th century engineering room?! This commercial is a paradox!

  • I have never seen this before; which region was it in? I love the brolly line! :-D

  • Not only was it the Enterprise-D's engineering room, there was also a scamattic of the Enterprise-D

  • that's what I was thinking

  • loved the☔

  • "I don't need a brolly you wally!" LOL As an American I've never heard that before.

Quite possibly the strangest commercial I've ever seen.

  • Uh this might have been funny if it was not almost better than most of the actual Trek movies. The scenes where they are dodging lasers was pretty darn good.

  • Who cares about all that stuff?

The best part was the umbrella. LOL

  • That was strange but Shatner always had a great sense of humor about the whole Trek thing. And James Doohan fakes the accent.... LOL. Come get some Catspit~! ☠

  • @CatspitProductions His sense of humor is even better now that he embraced Trek even moreso nowadays. The guy is awesome period though.

  • As a life-long Star Trek fan, I have to say, some of the rest of you really are as annoying as everyone seems to think we all are. Of *COURSE* it's the Enterprise-D engine and transporter rooms. You really wanted them to rebuild the Enterprise-A sets for a British TV commercial shot, like, 10 years after they tore them down? You get that it's television, right? It was all on a couple of sound stages in Los Angeles. It's made of plywood and 2x4s. Sheesh.

  • @lekoman it was made in 90 they still had the sets then. st6 didn't come out til 91

  • @k4m3j0 Actually... the way that works is that the Enterprise-D sets were redresses of the existing Enterprise-A sets, which were redressed back to Enterprise-A look and feel during the summer filming hiatuses of TNG to film ST5 and ST6. So, in effect, you're seeing the Enterprise-A sets as they were at the time of the filming of the commercial (i.e. as Enterprise-D sets). In any case, my point stands...

  • @lekoman The original(or copies) sets were in 3 or so episodes of DS9...

  • @kkburnout Most of that was done in post-production. They actually composited the modern actors into old footage. Some of it was also accomplished by building replicas... but that was on the budget of a full TV show, not a silly commercial.

  • @lekoman

What an annoying post. Freak out more.

  • 0:39 heheheheh

  • Red Alert klaxon is to rapid, the Engineering room is not the Enterprise A's, and that version of LCARS didn't exist on the Enterprise A either.

  • Comment removed

  • :18 - is that screen from Wrath of Khan?

  • Enterprise refit in orbit. Enterpeise D engine room. Because this many.

  • 0:35

Guy in red shirt looks to the right, thinking "Damn! I should have seen this coming!"

  • What the world needs is more Star Trek.

  • It's great to see William Shatner playing captain kirk, even if it's just a commercial.

  • Hehe, what was the point of this? Anyone whos enough of a fan to buy something because its associated with Star Trek would most likely be annoyed by the fact that they used the Enterprise D set with OS characters :P. Not to mention isnt it kind of morally questionable to associate Star Trek with a share trading company? Picard would give this a double+ face palm

  • what the hell british tv ad all of these sets are from the next genreation WTF!!!!

  • @gmodman1701 Scotty is messing around on the holodeck duh

  • ok...very crazy

  • That could have been the most bizarre advert I have ever seen.

  • 0272 272 272 272 272 272...

  • I can see that transporter making a lot of money in Thailand.

  • It's when The Conservative Government were selling the family silver, and privatising Electrical generation and supply, which was then in public ownership. Since then, prices have gone into warp speed, and service likewise, but in a backwards direction.

    Great advert, though!

  • @96actually Is that something like deregulation? I mean Like here in the U.S. AT&T controlled all phone lines and then they forced it to break up and let everybody in the game. Was it something like that?

  • @SuaveGemini No, it's privatisation (privatization) of publicly-owned companies. Totally different kettle of fish.

  • i really dont car what this ad is selling, i'll buy it

  • ok its star trek if your a fan i have to ask what stupid fucks hit 20 dislikes and why?

  • They still use umbrellas in 200 years time?

  • Blasphemy, I kill you infidel dogs.

  • Benny Hill Trek? Maybe....Now we Need Mr Fred Scuttle!

  • but that was the Enterprise D engineering room.....

  • @RomulusAaron No, its the Enterprise A engine room.

  • @RomulusAaron: The Enterprise-A used the corridors, transporter room, and engine room from the D sets. They were just re-dressed and re-lit from their use in TNG for Star Trek 5 and 6. If you watch the TNG episodes that were made while these films were being shot, you'll notice those sets are used sparingly if at all.

  • I held a Topast at a Scottish Pub in a Large City on the East Coast in Honor of James Doohan in Summer 2005 when he passed away. James Doohan's Mr Scott was the Muscle behind Captain Kirk. He was what Alan Hale, Sr. was to Errol Flynn. Both Men and Characters are Legendary. Both are Televsion and Motion Picture History.

  • I have Never seen this before I never knew it existed

  • RIP James Doohan

  • Better than Star Trek V

  • LOL, you can see the enterprise D layout on the pool table

  • "...Good afternoon..." Fuckin' hilarious.

  • Obviously filmed when Shatner was directing Star Trek V from what I can see. And of course, that would help explain the use of the Enterprise D engine room (since they only modified the set slightly when it was used in Trek VI and didn't use it at all in V, except for this anyway).

  • @JMChladek Thats some interesting facts courtesy of hi end geekery! ewll done sir!

  • Enterprise D engine room? o_O

  • Perfect time to say BEAM ME UP SCOTTY but no we have to do what the script says.

  • Lol XD Scotty be trolling! XD

  • God, I remember this. I think my dad actually bought some shares.

  • James Doohan will always be win. Period.

Shatner.. eh.. well he was pretty cool.. :D

  • "The sets were standing, why not use them?" was the order of the day, it makes perfect sense.

  • What are they doing using TNG sets?

  • For all of you noticing the Galaxy-class Engineering, I feel I should point out that the Enterprise-A has at the least, a similarly designed warp core and Galaxy-class corridors.

  • @aidenbullo You mean HE is XD

  • Yes yes we ALL noticed its the Enterprise D's engineering, now stop nerding out & just love this for what it is, funny as hell lol

  • WTF? Enterprise D bridge?

  • I noticed that Scotty's in a TNG engineering.

  • @lazarnecakov just like in the last two movies.

  • Can't get enough of this power, transporter malfunction......

    : )

  • I like how the warp engine was from the D and neither of the originals lol

  • Geezz, i bet that cost a lot to license.

  • anyone else notice the Enterprise D engine room? LOL

  • @musicmanWP Yeah, but at least they better job hiding it in Star Trek VI.

  • @musicmanWP haha wth it is!

  • @musicmanWP which they also reused in star trek six

  • @musicmanWP They were just borrowing it for a weekend trip of course.

  • @musicmanWP They used Tng sets for Trek VI

  • @musicmanWP And transporter room lol

  • @musicmanWP i think the engine room of the later star trek movies was the same as the engine room of the Enterprise D

  • @marsh84722

    watch?v=nrVM6XJHz00

ok the cat wasn't a part of tos ... but this is Scooty's (R.I.P.) room.

  • Comment removed

  • lol Scotty is just not used to the transprter machanics of the 24th century!

  • @JAGTHEGEMINI lol, yeah, they probably borrowed the TNG set to film this.

  • @Forlo12345

    Yep, seems that way. ^^

  • As a straight male I never thought I'd say this, but Kirk has a nice body! 0:35

  • I remember this ad. They wanted us to change are electricity supplier.

  • @eaglescout1998 considering the engine room is the enterprise D not surprising...

  • Okay the TNG engineering set is really bothering me. They're not even attempting to cover up the fact that it's the Enterprise-D interior.

  • @trollheimer OK, and? Who cares? It's just a damn commercial.

  • @tarhonyapure Us Trekkies care! We care mucho deeply about our Star Trek continuity! :D

  • @trollheimer I'm also a trekkie, and I don't care. It was just meant to be funny!

  • @tarhonyapure You're taking my comment seriously, aren't ya?

  • @trollheimer that's how I feel when I watch Star Trek V lol

  • @trollheimer But you have to admit, that planetscape looks better than any set or location they used on the series for alien worlds

  • hahahahahahahahahaa *roflmao* great!

  • Don't really care what the ad is selling ... to be honest, I kind of wanted the story to continue.

  • Ok what is he doing in the Engineering Deck of the Enterprise D?

  • @UFO721 If you go back and watch Star Trek VI you'll find most of the sets are reused from ST TNG, most noticeably the engineering set. Of course many of the ST TNG sets were carried forward from ST The Motion Picture.

  • @creepynut I have the movie I know.

  • @UFO721 if you know then why were you asking? :P

  • Sad thing is that commercial was so low budget it was featured on the Enterprise D.

  • you can see Scotty is missing a finger at 0:44

  • @wardtc1 Scotty (James Doohan) flew in the Canadian Air Force during World War 2. He lost his finger when his fighter was shot up.

  • @lordzaphodbeeb Actually according to an interview I saw with James Doohan he lost a finger on D-Day. June 6, 1944 when he was shot 6 times when he was the first one out of his landing craft on the beaches of Normandy

  • @lordzaphodbeeb You're right, my bad. I've always heard the flying story. I've never seen that interview, gonna have to look it up.

  • I'm both british and a star trek fan and i want to set fire to myself after seeing that. What the hell is with that creepy skag-eyed man too?

  • Kirk; ''Spock, you have the bridge. I'll be in my ready room for next three, no make that four, days

  • Bahahahaha! Thats awesome. Thanks for uploading it.

  • The Engineering room is from T.N.G.

  • try man power MORE POWER!!

  • Not seen this in a long time. I remember the visual effects were better than the movies although the short clip of the computer graphical display of the planet was taken from the 'Wrath Of Khan' movie. They don't make adverts like this anymore...shame.

  • That was a higher budgeted transporter effect than I've seen in any of the movies! And meteor storm, hell maybe even the outside shots..

  • @explorer47422

Big advertising budgets back in the late eighties, early nineties. Those days are long gone.

  • what...

  • YES

  • What a confusing phone number!

  • @Tanru2000

    How so?

  • @Mrspikeprime Must have looked at it differently the first time I watched the video. It's just 0 with 3x 272 so yeah, not that bad.

  • I love how Paramount only leg them have certain scenes/effects from TOS, TNG, and the movies. So awesome.

  • I remember Mr Shatner explaining to Julie Brown on an episode of Late Night at The Improv many years ago, about a transporter 'malfunction' just as depicted here in this commerical. Heck, they even merged two characters in an episode of Voyager to become Tuvix (Tuvok and Nelix). How where to find this transporter..... ; 0

  • Kirk ran into a Power Ranger battle!

  • 00:14 I just love how Scotty throws that little plane X3

  • I love how the computer consol in the foreground of engineering shows the Enterprise-D, instead of the Enterprise-A

  • And yet the effects in this ad are better than in Star Trek V

  • こういうの好きです。

  • BWAHAHAHA! Hilarious!

  • Thats just like Kirk. Went straight for the boobs!! LOL

  • @zuki1899 hell yeah he did :)

  • when did they have paper in the 24th

  • @nextgeneration456

    This is the 23rd! century.

  • There was no love lost between William Shatner and James Doohan...

Doohan was more than happy to do anything that showed Shatner as "less than perfect"!

    Funny stuff, though!

  • This is really funny advert.

  • I don't need a brolly you wally. Might say that to someone next time it rains. Funny thing is, I could get away with it; I'm English :)

  • BWAAAAHahahahahawhaa!

  • It would be funny, because the Redshirts were left to die.... and the Shattinator's body slapping the Shat out of his own face.... But, Scotty saying "uh-oh, not again." left me wanting more. Really? Scotty would have done his 'thing' and fixed the problem from the last time, having said it would take longer than it did... I thought this was just a LAME plug for a power company and as much as I love Star Trek, just was not very amused.

  • @ffraggle You're taking this way WAY too seriously. It's just for fun. :P

  • i notice they use the CGI screen from WOK on one of Scotty's screens

  • I have never seen that. How did they get on to the TNG set to do scotty's part?

  • That was the weirdest commercial for a power company that I've ever seen.

  • And the redshirts were left on this planet to die...

  • @misasa13 They are all wearing red

  • @Teletran35 He meant the two that had no name

  • Wait, why is Scotty operating the transporter from main engineering? or why is he operating the Enterprise-D?

And why are the effects so wrong?

Damn bullshit, damn brits, damn non-ST commercials including ST, DAMN THIS SHIT!

  • @mantas1111000 Wrath of Khan transporter effect!

  • WTH? I love it

  • epic!

  • hmmmm...confusing....

  • She slapped the shat out of him!

  • when he was feeling up his new boobs she shoulda kicked herself in the balls lol

  • that was the weirdest advert ever

i don't belive ive ever seen it before

  • wow in 0.16 you can the enterprise D on the compertable lol

  • OMG!!! he's a she and she's a he

  • Dem legs Shatner, Dem legs. ;D

  • I love how they used the TNG sets.

  • I love the british and their humor.

  • Notice the engine room from the Enterprise D but the exterior of the Enterprise A haha.

  • I love Britain - Classic!

  • Hahhahah

  • lol what the hell?

  • William Shatner was an real ass hole to act with, so the other cast members say. " He was like a little kids, had to have everything his own way ", that was Nimoys comments. If you look it up, you'll see that the directors and the producers said the same thing, but like Shatner said once, " they need me more than I need them ".

  • @robotracking you obviously know little if you think Nimoy said that, in fact they are best friends in real life. As for the others, who cares? they are nothing but seething jealous two-bit supporting players to Shat the man!

  • Wait! How did The Enterprise-D's engine room get onboard the original Enterprise?

  • wat year is this from??
