@bvlgary09 thanks for the kind comment! you ask a good question. YES, the pressure must be constant to use this formula. if you need to vary the volume, temperature AND pressure, you can use the combined gas law, with is (P1*V1)/T1 = (P2*V2)/T2

@Be1smaht if the pressure isn't constant, the volume could be changing, even if the temperature isn't! so if we have a balloon, we could shrink it by raising the pressure around it--put it in a pressure chamber and squeeze those gas particles together. now charles' law says that if there's a change in volume, we can figure how much the temp changed. BUT, if the pressure isn't constant, it could change the volume and TRICK us into thinking the temp changed instead.
