I dont know where he has the idea thats its easier but thts his personal opinion. I used serato b4 with SL 3 but it started to be crappier with updates i sold serato and I bought traktor which is a better dj platform and no offense to serato users but it has shitty updates. Ur better off getting CDJs and agood mixer like a Rane TTM 56s or PMC 05 Pro IV

@LEZTHEGOON Man I had that issue. I open Itch and then turn the unit on. If that doesnt work try closing it out then unplugging the USB from the computer that is connected to the NS7 and re open Itch then plug the USB in and finally turn it on and wait a moment. If still no success the last thing I can think of is to re install Itch software. Let me know if you succeed or not. Good luck man.

I have been mixing for about 1 year now and I'm ready to upgrade. But the question is should I go and upgrade to the new Numark ns6 that comes out in 20 days or just end up getting the Numark ns7?
@ArgusBrandon you can also check out the numark v7 which u can use with your own personal mixer..if i were u though & moneys no problem id go with the ns7, cant beat spining platters IMO.

I want to start dj-ing and the ns7fx seems like the perfect all in one piece of gear especially for a mobile dj. My only question is would one be able to tune the start up and stop time to replicate that of a 1200? I see transporting the ns7 creating problems especially in clubs with 1200s in the booth so being able to practice on the ns7 would make the transition to the 1200s smooth if replicating the start up time is possible.
what computer would you suggest for dj'ing? i've been dj'ing for about a year, have these turntables, and i have all the equipment. but the serato software seems to be lagging/skipping from time to time for me. i think my laptop may be running to slow for the software. this is why i think i need a new laptop. any suggestions? i'm ready to start dj'ing clubs and such, and i can't have the sound dropping out throughout the mix.

Hey man good vid i just have a question thats been bugging me forever and i need to find a solution. I need more effects than those that came with the NS7FX. Many effects like in Virtual DJ (ex. @agiprodj I dont see a lot of effects on it externally (maybe it's because I have never seen one up close). But what knobs and buttons does it have on the hardware aside from the Looper, the Keylocks etc.? Does it have a Filter Knob on it and others; or are they only in the software? By the way, when you bought it did it come with it's own external soundcard and jacks or did you buy that separately? I don't scratch a lot, so would this be a good choice to be if I only wanted to mix on it?

@tranjohn yeah i was looking at getting the ns7 also but i ended up getting the v7's cause it's more portable and u can just use 1 v7 to control 2 decks which is pretty neat...u should have a look at the v7's if u haven't yet:)

@LifesPrisoner Its not as portable because clubs dont provide them. Almost every venue has 1200's in the booth. So all I have to bring is my laptop and sometimes my 57 if the club has a shitty mixer. But most venues either have a 57 or a serato box installed. Trust me.... I dont lug 1200's around.lol and Im surely not gonna lug a ns7. I can just imagine the nightmare it would cause when there are multiple dj's working and you are moving shit around to hook up the ns7.

Best thing numark has made... in my opinion. i like how the deck is realistic and spins ulkie the handheld items. i've had mine since febuary and love aux inputting all my other items. itch 1.7 is out now. no different fyi.
@tsharkey15 hey there, ive got a NS7FX and i spin electro house and i must say its great. the 5 hot cue buttons really do come in handy and so does the loop buttons. the only downside is that it weighs 17 - 19 kg and transporting it to clubs to play is a bitch.

@mgcdillon Yes, you would need to have speakers, either self-powered and connected with an XLR cable, or non-powered which need to be powered with a separate amplifier. We'd be happy to help you put a system together.

i have a problem i just buy a brand new NS7 so i began my instalation but at the end it tells me that my NS7 Hardware was not install succesfully so if u can please help me! did i did the installation the wrong way ? or its my system NS7 not working propertly?shuld i return my NS7? or im missing a cd to install my NS7?
My ITCH program its Working propertly exept it say that my NS7 its diconected by it is conected tru the USB cable!!
With the NS7FX does it have the "bleep" scratch funtion that some of the other Numark decks have? i think the ICDX, Mixdeck and the new NDX series have it, its similar to the Pioneer CDJ 900 "slip" mode.

i use scratch live and a roland sp-555 as the midi for cues drops and loops. this can save me a lot of set-up/tear-down time.
@deejayBABUS The only way you might be able to pull this off is to use some kind of MIDI controller with the samples programmed into some of the buttons.
@agiprodj basically, if im using ssl and making a crate, does it automatically switch over to itch? and the other way around too? im assuming cuepoints and loops also switch over?
i played with this for an hour in the store last week (without the fx) and i really do love how it feels! closest thing to turntables as it gets, and you can tell how well built it is. im just a stubborn guy and wish you could use it with scratch live! i was told itch will copy your crates and everything, but how easy is it to run both programs on your computer? i still use mostly turntables but this would be nice for mobile gigs if itch had a feature to sync easily to copy my SL settings
one thing i saw that can be used is the search strip for increasing or decreasing loop size or to apply the effects wet/dry parameters... 2 cents. although haven't used one it looks and usability wise if your a ssl user skills are transferable.

@mgcdillon Slipmats are included. Headphones are not, so you would need a pair to be able to hear your mix, cue tracks, etc.

i have a problem i just buy a brand new NS7 so i began my instalation but at the end it tells me that my NS7 Hardware was not install succesfully so if u can please help me! did i did the installation the wrong way ? or its my system NS7 not working propertly?shuld i return my NS7? or im missing a cd to install my NS7?
My ITCH program its Working propertly exept it say that my NS7 its diconected by it is conected tru the USB cable!!

With the NS7FX does it have the "bleep" scratch funtion that some of the other Numark decks have? i think the ICDX, Mixdeck and the new NDX series have it, its similar to the Pioneer CDJ 900 "slip" mode.

@Zi0nAlb3rga You cannot use Scratch LIVE. Serao itch (shown here) or other MIDI DJ software such as Traktor. It's not a perfect match though.

lots of videos already out on the ns7.......but no one can break it down and explain things like you man..lol... i have a djm-800 and cdj-800's aswell..would you trade your set up for the ns7?
i use scratch live and a roland sp-555 as the midi for cues drops and loops. this can save me a lot of set-up/tear-down time.

@deejayBABUS The only way you might be able to pull this off is to use some kind of MIDI controller with the samples programmed into some of the buttons.

i played with this for an hour in the store last week (without the fx) and i really do love how it feels! closest thing to turntables as it gets, and you can tell how well built it is. im just a stubborn guy and wish you could use it with scratch live! i was told itch will copy your crates and everything, but how easy is it to run both programs on your computer? i still use mostly turntables but this would be nice for mobile gigs if itch had a feature to sync easily to copy my SL settings

one thing i saw that can be used is the search strip for increasing or decreasing loop size or to apply the effects wet/dry parameters... 2 cents. although haven't used one it looks and usability wise if your a ssl user skills are transferable.
