  • Is this on any of the dvds yet, this one was one of my favorites

  • OK folks ~ it is time to reveal once and for all who really threw those pies:

    It was me!

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!

  • That laugh after the pies were thrown at them is very comical!

  • I could never ever get enough of the Three Stooges either when I was a kid or now.

  • Who threw those pies?

  • Ha!

  • Great hysterical laugh. Creepy though,

  • This is one of my all time favorite Stooge-isms. So glad it was posted here!

  • Who was it again who Rennie Davis hit with a pie? I'm ashamed I don't remember.

  • lol im the one that threw the pies xD

  • this episode for some reason used to scare the shit outta me. i mean it was hilarious but some reason the episode just has a creepy feel to it. Now its my favorite ep of the three stooges.

  • Great pie hits! Every guys face is covered nicely

  • too funny. I remember this episode when I was a shorty

    who...threw...those pies? :)

  • Acoording to Movie comedy writer and director

Ed Bernds..Ray Hunt threw the pies off camera.

  • 0:16 -- Given that Moe was usually the pie-thrower of offscreen pies (and other objects), I wonder who threw the pies at Moe?

  • These were pretty good pies, as far as consistency and coverage, especially for thrown pies!

Yes, the Santa pie incident occurred in Missoula (sp?), Montana. It involved a college student pieing the Santa at a mall. I guess someone got coal in their stocking last Christmas

  • I am need to get a pie and throw it at someone lol.

  • It would've been funnier if a pie had hit the Torch Lady at the end of the short.

  • Or the beginning, although admittedly that would have taken away from the element of surprise that makes all the pie-throws so classic in the first place...

  • The pies couldn't have been made of shaving cream as the movie was released in 1943 and aerosal shaving cream wasn't introduced until around 1950. They were made out of anything the prop department could come up with that day. Usually marshmellow cream or untoasted meringue which is so sticky it has to be scraped off with a butter knife...

  • did you know moe mad the pies, its in the interview.

  • I through the Pies hehehehe (splat)

  • *loud whistle* Splat! "Who threw thos pies?" That had to be messy! Yet it never gets old!

  • Poor Larry is so blinded by pie goo he can't say his line. This is a very very funny short. Never did find out who was behind the bookcase hitting Curly with the boxing glove.

  • oh did you hear about the man who threw a pie at Santa and then, was arrested?

  • Very funny video clips.

  • I read in the stooges biography that Moe was one that threw almost all the pies in the stooge shorts because he was quite good at it.

  • Pie throwing Never, ever, ever, ever gets old.

  • Love how you pieced 'em all together. :)

  • Ah!?

But who the pie at you.."Prof.Dunkfeather"?

  • Movie comedy director and scriptwriter

Ed Bernds claims that the pies were made of

    shaving cream..not marshmellow sauce,choc-

    olate sryup and sugar.

But..those pies stick harder than shaving cream.

  • Whistling pie throws.

    *shudders*

  • Looks like the prop guy was using a lot of marshmellow cream in the pies that day..uninmaginable sticky ..has to be scraped off,,

  • Comedy Rule #1: Timing is everything.

Comedy Rule #2: Remember the rule of threes.

Comedy Rule #3: Pies in the face are ALWAYS funny.
