Don't you think some of us in the mid-late 90s' who subscribed to DIV was drawn to the malevolent beats and sinister
silliness. Devil's Music......LOL....like Peter Pann Vs.Stanley Kubrick......generational equit¥ got bought out b¥ the Olson twins and Simpson sisters awhile ago.
If you want artistic ingrity, sing an original song and blow yourself up on live TV.

It won't be so cool when human morality rests individually in every person will it. Each having to fight against this sort of depicted "evil" not only within cultures but within themselves I used to wonder what meaning this video had when I first saw it while in High School. Look what happened to me. You're better off not asking why kid. No one gives a damn about generational equity.
Also worth noting is the end featuring the same little girl and dancing nazi shiva placed in front of an abstract columned ruin backdroped by a forming mushroom cloud. Notice the girl in the end exchanges the innocent sheep for a marked pig. She pays her penance as Shiva the creator and destroyer dances on.
Provocative, a gathering storm of emotions rise to a malevolent beat. A rendering of the current philosophical, existential, dealing of truth to proverbial "cool." The devils music.
I think this broadcasts an absurdist and nihilistic world view. An ever increasingly relevant cautioning in light of the increasingly growing Christian technological human ontological schism. A young girl with fangs petting Christianity's vision of innocence. A dancing Shiva with obvious nazi costume and pointed teeth hearkens the end of dualistic mind body ideas and western rationalism as a lighted cross is being pulled down, good literally be deconstructed.
oh to the guy who asked if Death In Vegas ever created anything else that sounds like this... YES. each of thier albums have had the similar eeriness and head-bangin guitar riffs. check em out! the latest 'Satan's Circus' is sort of a let down in the guitar department, but its still worth checkin out!
oh yeah, and that 'Push It' video was a direct rip off of this.
no my friend.. this video was made after the garbage - push it.. so it can't be a rip off.. and the director is the same.. so he's able to use his own ideas.. don't be suck an asshole dude!
umm this video was made in early in 1997 and Garbage video was made in mid 1998 so yeah, it was a rip off...oh and same director? no problem, that makes the Push It video a 're-hash'.
Seriously. I would pay money to have this video on DVD. It is one of the best I have ever seen. Btw, have DIV made another song remotely similar since?
Wow I haven't seen this since dead elvis came out in 97. I wish they would come to Australia a bit more regularly. I don't know if its true or not but someone told me that the sample used at the beginning is from the original woodstock, does anyone know if thats true?
Where can i get a decent quality verison of this. I've been looking for this video for a while now. And Ive never heard of anything else from the director.
this is such an awesome song and video, i recall when it actually had some mtv time. wasn't very into the rest of the cd though. still such a wonderful video!
