Something happened to Sherlock's brother Mycroft since the Case of the Greek Interpreter. He's a small guy compared to Sherlock...and a little short-tempered
That's the late Frank Middlemass at the opening as the inventor! I've already seen him in the Peter Curshing BBC and Jeremy Brett iTV versions. He was lovely.
Thanks for sharing this. Although it was widely panned when it was first shown, I must say that as an adoring fan of the Sherlock Holmes canon, I found this to be a highly enjoyable film. I particularly enjoyed the authentic details, such as the presence of Mrs. Hudson and Mycroft, as well as the re-appearance of the enigmatic Irene Adler. All in all, I consider this a lovely Valentine to all Baker Street Irregulars!
There was a stage production version that he was in I happened to catch on the HBO list of movies a few years ago and have been searching all over to see it and still hope to find it if anyone knows the one i'm talking about. This'll do for know. :)

Christopher Lee. He played Holmes in the 1960s, too...

Oh my god the acting in this is brutal. I hope Morgan Fairchild didn't get much money for that disgusting operatic lip-sync.
