It's bullshit LotS got cancelled. I'll admit, I thought the premise of the show was retarded at first, but after being locked indoors for almost a year studying for school, this show always happened to be on whe I took breaks from studying, just grew on me, and I've been hooked since. So what if Tribune didn't pick it up for S3?! Raimi & Tapert should pitch elsewhere. They didn't let Hercules & Xena die just like that. In fact, the last FEW seasons of both were garbage, yet it continued.

You'll all kill me for saying this, but I don't think Regan was a good choice to play Kahlan. Regan is bubbly and effervescent, and while she may be very attractive, doesn't come across as the grounded, hyper-logical sort of person her character is supposed to be. She may have the stage presence for the part, but the Kahlan of the books could be described as slightly aloof...absolutely nothing like Bridget Regan, and she doesn't pull off pretending very well.

@x15justice Hi, I wondered about that too but started with the first book anyway and I have to say it's fantastic! Many things are very different from the show so I would read the first books too if I were you. It's a very nice book.

It follows more then it strays actually.

I think the reason "The Legend of the Seeker" is garnering the popularity that it has is not because of the acting/storyline, both of which are a bit clichéd and sub par. I think the show is gaining in popularity because a lot of guys tune in to see Bridget Regan, because she is one of the most exquisitely beautiful women on TV. If they want to increase the ratings all they have to do is put her in a more revealing outfit that shows her midriff - a la Gabrielle from Xena Warrior Princess.
