yeah I should update the info section. When this video was released, the T Mobile G1 was still almost a month or more away from the pre-orders being shipped.

yes, it follows your gps, there are hundreds or awesome apps that use the compass and gps. you can also look at all the stars in the same way

not with the maps/navigation app afaik. For some reason it didn't updated the street view with the gps location. I had to manually "click"/"tap" on the arrows to move forward the view. Though the compass did reacted to every turn around. Another thing is: you have to hold the phone in vertical, otherwise it will only show the road below you. I even tried to trick the G-Sensor with recalibrating it and "telling" it wich one is the horizontal direction, still... unsuccesfull..

Google has cars drive around with cameras on top that take 360 degree photos as they drive. The pictures are then put together and that's how you have street view.
