But honestly, they need to learn sooner or later. So thats why you put them in a vehicle thats either Front wheel, or AWD. That way the car does well in the snow. But really, don't shield them from driving in the winter, they gotta get out there and learn!

i missed info on using snowtires, they make a *huge* difference on snow and ice.
Young drivers should feel the difference as soon as possible. Once experiencing snowtires agains summertires on snowy roads it will be a no brainer.
