I guess you need to do something to capture attention, it's not hard - it's no different from holding attention in a crowd. It's a look, a change in tempo or anger, play and listen in the moment, adjust immediately to the tempo of the room! ;)

I flippin hate it how people talk through musical performances and dont respect the person playing or apprecite how hard it is to stand up in front of an audience and pour your flippin soul out.
