  • good job! Fall after the run. thats always the way to go ;D

  • That goes for everyone. If you don't like her using her whip don't comment. I use my whip. Not as much as she did but my horse has no problem with it. And the cinch well anyone of yal could of done that to so i wouldn't be talking. I DO barrel race so i have my life. It's yal stupid asses that have to make your self look like asses on theses videos that needs to get a life. FUCK OFF!!! Bye,

  • @ hopalongbarrelracer bahahahaha shut your ass up.. Nobody asked you!!!

  • @jduece08 shut your fucking mouth bitch. she can use the whip as much as she likes.

  • You guys !! People forget to tighten up sometimes !! it happens !! seriously you guys nee to chill out !! and Whipping doesn't hurt them because the whips we use in barrel racing aren't hard !! Don't watch the dang video if you are goonna be so rude !!

  • That's what happens when you don't check your saddle. Shouldn't have spent so much time dolling yourself up...

  • umm why you whippinq him so damn much?? NOT even called for!!!!

  • @jduece08 Get a life!

  • @HopalongBarrelRacer barrel racing is our life...maybe u should start.

  • @KJstables I do barrel race and i do use a whip. I don't beat him, i don't use it that much but on rare occasion when he needs a little boost and i don't use spurs.

  • @jduece08 I agree. Not to mention the draw reins she had on that horse. When will these girls figure out that whipping is TOTALLY unnecessary?

  • @BarrelsPolesandJack I don't know what the hell draw reins are but i do use a whip but like i put on rare occasion since i don't use spurs. I use regular barrel race and may be fore one run whip him three times. or maybe two if i'm lucky. Since he's so fast know and knows what to do.

  • @HopalongBarrelRacer Draw reins are what this "rider" was using.

  • @BarrelsPolesandJack But what ARE they. They kinda look like race track reins they use on the race track?

  • @HopalongBarrelRacer It's a gimmicky device to teach the horse not to pull against the bit and headset. And no; if you use draw reins during a race, you'll be in a lot of trouble.

  • @jduece08 verry called for

  • That made my day.

    Thank you.

  • omg how embarrassing xD

  • stop frikkin beating him i know its racing you either win or you dont, in some races/shows if you hit your horse/pony more than 3 times your disqualified because they count it as cruelty so if i was the person i wud disqualify you sorry for being mean but theat my opinion everyone has their own opinion anywys bye xx

  • classy dismount gooo felow cowgirl:)

  • Hahaha Fergalisious!

  • lol shes lucky

  • haha dont feel bad! i was barrel racing my paint and the cinch got hooked on the barrel and ripped it off and of course, my horse fell and so did i! lol but thankfully i was just practiceing and not at a show. :)

  • Next time remember to tighten your cinch...it helps!

  • that horse turns on a dime!!

  • that happened to me once

  • lol my horse puffs and I have a saddle that does have the tree in it, since she is about 16.2 hands getting up there is hard, it slipped over pinched her back (MY FAULT) I was on top when she took off and me and the ground had a personal encounter about... 8 seconds into the ride lol

  • wow I wish I had your horse. I was at a

4-h event yesterday and did barrels. I got disqualified because(for some reason) My horse didn't trigger the timer. Hope your ok form your fall. :D

  • you must have been going so fast, the timer was like "what horse?" haha ;) but no that really sucks...

  • that sound like the marion county 4-h show in indiana

  • great horse great rider, that horse tries for he very hard. A whip is perfectly appropiate, not to be rude but i counted about 13 slaps. I would recommend only smackin him home so tha tway he doesnt get to sour. Nice rider and nice horse, but yes whips between barrels arent the best. i hope ur ok from the fall! =)

  • Hahah!! Her saddle was loose!! (THAT HAHA WAS IN A GOOD WAY)

  • Lol, what a great run. The rider and horse were great, but i have to say it looks funny as she starts to fall off, its like "oh, gosh, me and the saddle are falling off......lol", not saying it in a mean way. :)

  • great run great horse great rider neither did anything wrong

  • dom wijf!!!

  • you guys have no clue wat ur tlkin bout!!! she knows how to ride.. and the whip is fine!! it was to push him a little bit! geez!

  • yeah shes not even hitting him hard - just kind of showing it to him really.

  • Try an over-under instead of the whip. They hear it zip past their ears and it's just a little "nicer"

  • Its a great horse but do you realy have to hit him so hard??

I know barrel racers kick their horses like they die in a second but with a whip!?! is it realy necessary???

  • that was actually a brilliant run!! but please fur ur horsessake ease up on the whip!! jeese!

  • Right on. exactly what i was thinking!!!

  • crap happends i think you did great staying on and holding your horse up during the whole run!!!! im glad your o.k!!!!

  • yupp i agree wiv the makfte guii it dunt deserve that atall !!!poor thing :(

  • LOL that was pretty funny.

    :)

  • Oops accidently hit the post button

Maybe she wouldn't stay on it without being pushed.

  • I just have to stick my 2 cents worth in here.

1)There were mistakes in the ride yes, but then I've never seen a ride without mistakes.

    2) Nobody's horsemanship will ever satisfy every critic. Ever.

And don't forget there's always stuff you as a viewer can't see. You don't know the horse or it's history. Maybe

  • Horse did well. He stopped and stood still.

Stuff happens. It was handled well. Good job!

  • Yes, those are draw reigns :)

  • @josartisan does it work out good using draw reins?

  • @TalentUnspoken That depends very much on the horse. The horse in the video is the ONLY horse I've ever run in draw reins!

  • GREAT RIDE!!! That was amazing!! I am so glad you are not hurt! Or the horse. He is beautiful! Are you using draw reins on him? Thats what it looks like.

  • oooh..ouch

  • GREAT ride! You owned that one! Strap break?

  • I guess since I posted the video I'll have to answer for her :) I think she forgot to tighten the saddle before running. Poor girl!

  • @josartisan poor girl? it wuz her fualt!!!

  • see this is y i dnt like barrell racing

im sure the girl could be a good rider with some lessons.

but seriously the leg flapping is so unneccesary

    it looks so messy

  • she's pushing her horse~

    its not just "leg flapping"

are you even a barrel racer?

if not, learn up...if so, still learn up:)

  • yes i have barrelled raced b4.

and she could jsut as easily push her horse by squeezing instead of flaaping around like a dead chicken

  • Perhaps "squeezing" works on your horse, but you won't get anywhere with this horse by squeezing. She wouldn't understand what that means. Every horse is different. You can at least be grateful she (my sister) is not wearing spurs.

  • accauly any horse that i ride/train i use squeezing on

i dnt trian my horses to go by flapping my legs around like a chicken

  • That's probably very handy! I'm not a horse trainer myself, I just ride ones that are already trained :) but this horse got a late start (wasn't trained at all until about 5, I think) She does great though, for the late start she got, and even kids can ride her. Although now that I mention it, riding a horse that runs faster when you squeeze would probably be a bad thing for me, since I squeeze just to stay on lol! Do you train lots of horses? Horse training looks like a big job to me!

  • ha yeah

i mainly train the horses i have owned and the ones that come to my house. my family owns a private barn and we have some borders. theres a couple of horses that people ask me to work with beucase the dont have the time to ride or the cant hnadle them. i also train ponys to. and your right it is a big job its a big commitment

  • @ashleyfield71 we flap our legs around bc its called "kicking" them to go

  • @MagenEfron you can kick without looking like a retarted chicken...and dont try to sound smarter then me. i know what "kicking" is!

  • @ashleyfield71 yea i know that but in barrels we flap our legs around bc were kicking hard to get them to go really fast its not that hard to understand

  • @MagenEfron there are ways of making a horse go fast without flapping your legs around. i know how to barrell race. squeezing works just as well if not better.

  • @ashleyfield71 yea but if you want to get a fast time on barrels our easyest option is to kick like if your horse has hard sides and dosent respond to a squezze then we kick

  • @MagenEfron why do you think a horse would get hard/dead sides? FROM KICKING and over use of spurs.!

  • @ashleyfield71 No bc my horse is only 4 and i dont use spurs on him and i just got him an he has hard sides so there for i have to kick him to keep him going

  • @MagenEfron ok what ever. there is no point in argueing with you becuase you clearly are not as experiencded with horses as i am to understand what im saying.

  • @ashleyfield71 w/e if im not as expireinced as you then why do i go to 50+ AA rated shows a year on Hollywood huh?? your prob just some trail rider ugh

  • @MagenEfron congradulations??? rated shows in what? barrell racing???! COOL no one cares. and yes i trail ride. but i also do english pleasure, barrells, poles, hunters, eq, jumpers, and eventing. so really. stop trying to prove me wrong. you haven o affact on me

  • @ashleyfield71RETARD AA rated shows are english stupid dur and btw you spelled effect wrong god your a dumbass

  • @MagenEfron hahahha look whose talking! im not the dumbass here. oh god i spelled one word wrong that must mean i have down syndrome or something! get a life and get your facts straight. and if you showed at A rated hunter or eq shows then you would know that flailing your legs around doesnt make the horse go faster

  • @ashleyfield71 w/e and watch "real" barrel racers and you will see that they flail there legs to make there horse go fast and i think you should no that if your even a barrel racer

  • @ashleyfield71 w/e and watch "real" barrel racers and you will see that they flail there legs to make there horse go fast and i think you should no that if your even a barrel racer and as you can clearly see that inbetween barrel 1 and 2 at 11: seconds she flails her legs to make the horse speed upp

  • i think ur saddle was a tiny bit loose! lol

  • nice run, but that's a lot of crop use. I don't know about the horse's usual behavior and it may have been needed but That horse is working hard for her, I'm sure it got a pat and some nice cool water afterwards.

  • Thanks for the compliments.

I used to use draw reigns because I wasn't strong enough to pull Teeter Bob around with just an o-ring.

I now use a Draw-gag bridle which we both like MUCH better.

  • Call me ignorant, but are you running in draw reins, and why? Nice run BTW

  • good thing your saddle was tight enough when you were galloping!!!

  • Good thing she had on a breast collar or I think that would have happened earlier, lol.

    Nice run though!

  • Yeah really!

    Smokin run though

  • haha, oops. At least it happened at the end and not around one of the barrels!
