  • Excellent video, full of info......

  • Hahaha this is great man! subd

  • RWJ is DEFINITELY NOT the first to do what he does and I actually don't care for his videos. just saying and just my opinion.

  • great videos.... thank you @michaelwarbux for tweeting this to someone else.

  • If you say MTV is riding on the coattails of others with a viral video program, then it can be said that you're riding on the coattails of other video tip programs.

I enjoy all the viral video shows and all of the video tip shows, including this one (keep up the good work!). There are few original ideas left. so It's how we apply our uniqueness that makes video programs special, not timing.

Keep in mind that Apple was not the first to create an MP3 player, but they did perfect it!

  • good

  • Nice Job Tim... watch to the end for a SURPRISE! ("awkward")

  • @VideoLeadsOnline Yeah, totally awkward. lol

  • Thanks for the playbook link... and as for MTV Rob Dyrdek will make that show happen but you would figure MTV could come up with something a little better.

  • you're awesome!

  • @GideonShalwick haha Thanks!

  • Great video again :)

  • @KoenReus Thanks! Hope it was beneficial for ya!

  • Hilarious! I wanted to see more chest hair though. Great job. Oh, the only thing MTV has going is Dyrdek, he;s the start not the content. It's how he plays with the content that might make it funny and or interesting, but I am betting this will just be another mindless waste of time. Oh, that's right, this is MTV, the mindless is their target audience.

  • @jediforhire Gotta save more chest hair for future videos. ;)

  • Good stuff Tim!!

  • @HowToBecomeTV Thanks!

  • It's funny how you use the intro tip from the Youtube playbook. LOL!!! They said start the video with the talent and then do your branding. In the previous videos, you did the branding and then went into video.

  • @Debonair73 Yeah, a lot of this we're learning as we go, too, and some of it we're just experimenting with for our own tests and such.

  • Bahahahaha! The end of the video.

  • Great as always. Thanks for pointing me to the creator's book.

  • Good job with video and doing the graphics to keep it engaging..

  • I'm not so sure RWJ deserves the credit, alot of it has to go to Americas Funniest Home videos.

  • @oranse I totally agree with you, AFHV was doing RWJ show before he was out of diapers. AFHV invented the market for user generated content. Matter of fact almost all the top Youtubers copied their ideas from a TV show.

  • @Debonair73 @oranse The difference here is that RWJ has control of the "online viral video" commentary space whereas AFHV shows clips that are submitted to them specifically for the show, not clips they go out and find as viral and then feature them. Probably just a technicality since both shows are clearly very similar, but AFHV doesn't do anything with online viral videos.

  • @reelseo Most of the viral videos in the early days of Youtube and other video sites was stuff you use to see on AFHV. RWJ is cool but his whole show could be taken down with copyright claims. Phil DeFranco's show Cute, Win, Fail is back by the company that produced AFHV. Also ClipCritics did RWJ show before RWJ back in 2007. YT basically shut them down for using other people's clips. This was back when Viacom first file that lawsuit,so YT was really cracking down.
