Thank you so much for posting this video and the solution. I'm having the exact same problem with a HP Pavilion DV6000. I had the thing open with the LCD in my hands flexing it and I could see it flickering like that the same way even though I had just installed a new inverter and cable. Thought I was going crazy, but I wanted to verify someone else had this problem before I purchased a new LCD.

why would you change the whole screen when the problem lay with the inverter? simply change the inverter ...

This is exactly what happens to my laptop. Is it possible to fix it yourself? (because I know my dad will want to try -_-) should I try and get it repaired or just get a new laptop?

my model is A100 and have the same problem as yours after a drop of water gets into the side of the LCD and now the screen is 3/4 slow in motion with whitish color and other 1/4 is working normally..now i have to change the LCD and it's pretty expensive..T.T

Omg! Hey, My laptop is having seriously issues. Sometimes I use it for lets say 30 or more minutes and it shuts off automatically. Everything turns black even the screen. The sometimes I try to turn it back on and it doesnt work, By that I mean that the screen is black like if its off and the fan is just running. I dont get it. By The Way, I see that you laptop has a Light Blue Line running down the middle! I have the same thing... Why?

the ribbon "cable"hooked up to the back of the lcd is most likely lose, it happens quite often with laptops

I have the same thing wrong with my Toshiba but mine is a lot worse and trust me a lot when I boot mine up it is completely white I type my password not noing if I am clicked on it and try to open a internet browser cause it makes it go back to normal. help me to u people help me 2 mine is just like that but worse!!!

hey if you get it fix, let me know too. I got the same problem. First, i thought it was the inverter, then I get a replacement myself like $5 bucks on ebay. However, problem still existed.

My laptop is a modified Presario 2100US with 2.4ghz, used to come with 1.6ghz.
