    Hi

Thanx a lot for your love for this channel. Negative comments are constructive feedbacks for me. If comments are written professionally, whether positive or negative, I always try my best to handle accordingly but I do not tolerate bad language or words ever. I just want to keep this channel a source of learning and entertainment not any competition or the source of arguements....so keep enjoying!

  • sorry to say, but this is not how dal makhni is made

  • @rebeccanarang

Sorry to say but ingredients are the same, only way of preparing is different that dosn't mean it's not Dal Makhani. I know original recipe uses lot of butter but today's generation would not like that.....hope you understand variation....

  • if you are making a indian traditional dish, so you must talk in hindi language too.....

  • @netone111

    Hi

Most Indian people know how to cook these dishes so I am trying show our Indian tration to internation audience...so

  • @SuperVeggieDelight well basically many indians dont know the english names of many spices ..so keep telling those spices name in hindi too... otherwise reciepies are worthless for most of indians

  • @netone111

    HI

I always try my best to write ingredient in indian language as well so when even internation people go to Indian grocers, they get idea what to look for. So you must have seen me probably not speaking but writing ingriedients name in indian.

  • @netone111

And also I tried to do video in Hindi(You can watch Makhan video) but most audience said to do in English so I ended up doing again in English.

  • @REISM1

    Hi

    THanx for sharing..enjoy!

  • how long do you boil it for ??

  • @lvit405775

    Hi

I use pressure cooker so It takes about 12-15min only...but if you boil in open pot, it takes about an hour...but sometimes what I do, I always have ready canned kidney beans in my pantry so all I have to boil is just black gram and chana dal so I use my pressure cooker to boil them...and I recommend to soak all your beans lentils overnight for best result...enjoy!

  • Hi bhavna ,can i use chopped or minced onion ? thank you

  • @asianlite6

  • @SuperVeggieDelight

Understood, but people just don't listen nor do they read previous comments before they make silly comments...

  • @PreciousSecrets37

    Hi

It's not that I don't like to reply but I manage all these with very limited time because of my job, kids and family so it would be really great if people have little time they can scroll through at least few comments....thanx again.

  • This is a new recipe for me. Therefore does it taste different with the chana daal? or better with chana daal. However, are you cooking for the family or teaching new cooks or viewers how to cook Dal makani?

  • @nadia76284

    HI

I sometimes make with chanadal and it does taste little good but does not make whole lot of difference...but it is good for your health to add different beans and lentils..enjoy!

  • Why didn't you crush the kidney beans??? And what about the chana daal ???

  • @nadia76284

My family don't like crushed beans, I did tell in video, if you wish, you can add chana dal...cheers and enjoy!

  • Hello! I loved watching your presentation. Do you have a recipe with the list of ingredients and the amounts used? That would help me immensely! Thanks :>D

  • @Shovelware

  • @richa4i01

    Hi

    Thanx and keep enjoying!

  • hey bhavna,,all over its good.

But you were using the wrong spoon.wooden spoon should be used.the noise of it was irritating and your cream looked like milk. Should be thick cream or whipped.

thanks.but i like it your simple way cooking dal makhani.

    Jagjit Singh

  • @07202107

    HI

I have corrected myself on using wooden or other nonstick spoons if you see my recent videos, you will find them good. Now, i know that heavy whipped cream is used, but I feel so heavy if I add heave cream. So I add coconut cream or sometimes I use fat milk or simply fat free dry milk powder. Me and my family enjoy a lot when it islittle light...enjoy!

  • To boil..hw many whistles in the pressure cooker for the dals?

  • @jessicaiyer

  • look if u like her recipes so it doest mean i like her too.

  • @reet636

    Hi

But who is telling you that you should like me or my recipes. I don't expect from people to like me or my recipes. Each and every individual has their own choice and they have right to choose between good and great. What makes me uncomfortable is the way people show their like/dislike. Well, but I can't expect positive only, so why I should argue....you keep enjoying sanjeev kappor...I love his recipes as well! There is always something to learn from everyone!

  • I love your recipes. Keep up the good work!

  • @figandpomegranite

    Hi

    Thanx and keep enjoying.

  • this lady is suck if u want to cook daal makhni do check khana khazana by sanjeev kapoor..

  • @reet636

    Hi

If you don't like simply use dislike magic button. NO need to use unnecessary words. Oh yah, sanjeev kapoor is a master chef and done his eduction all in food industry. This is my home kitchen so I make recipes to fit my taste. The only difference I do with this is I don't cook with makhan. Tradtionally cooked with makhan. Other than that no change in recipe at all. So...

  • @reet636 Miss Reet Stop Blabbering.. If u have smthing better to show us thn bring it on.. othrwise dnt comment uselessly.. M so Thankful to Bhavna.. her recipe helped me to make delicious daal makahni to impress arrogant girls like "REET". Keep up the good work Bhavna.

  • Thank you, i'll try this tommorow

Btw, the noise that your white spoon makes on the inside of the pan is almost painful, sounds like fingernails on a chalkboard.

Oh, and you have extremely sexy hands :D

  • @1Noisycricket

    Hi

Thanx and now I am trying to keep that noise away. Keep enjoying.

  • which garam masala?

  • Can I make this without onion ?

  • @bebovirgo

    Hi

Sure...to me, taste even better. Just make gravy with tomato, nut and heavy cream. Enjoy!

  • This is a great dish, thanks for postiing!! Is it possible to make this dish without tomato?? Can we add amchur or anardana to give it the same great taste? Please let me know.

  • @pushparekha

    Hi

I have never tried this without tomato so not sure how it taste with amchur or anardan. You can try with very small amount and see how it comes out since there is hardly any substitute for tomato...

  • no butter in Dal "Makhani" ? Strange

  • @Kaboose786

    Hi

I used heavy cream so no butter. Enjoy!

  • @irfand4

    Hi

I posted recipe detail in video description area. Enjoy!

  • @SuperVeggieDelight,

May you please use English names for the ingredients you use. Sometimes you miss the name in English and its really hard for me to follow these beautiful Indian recipes, because I frequently find the cooks break back into their native (Indian) tongue.

    Thanks

  • @ScopedOUT2

    Hi

Feel free to aks if you don't understand any ingredients. I am always here to help. Enjoy! and will make sure to speack in both languages.

  • Dal makhani looks yummy..I am gonna try it out soon. Thanks for the recipe Bhavna.

  • @chitradi

    Hi

    You most welcome. keep enjoying!

  • looks gr8, but my friends said if u make onions to pasty they getting bitter. I just havn't done it yet but.....yummi

  • @oKeegan

    Hi

It's not true always. Use cooking onion and cook till they are golden brown tender and then make paste. If you make onion paste from raw onion, it tastes bitter. One more thing you can do is buy onion powder and use only half of quantity then fresh paste since dry powders are concentrated. enjoy!

  • @SuperVeggieDelight thx for the tip

  • hmmmmm.....delish!!! i'll make it 2morr :)

  • @aran718

Try and share with us how it comes out for you. Enjoy!

  • @viduoo9

    Hi

Chana dal is added for extra flavor but you can leave it out as I did. Yes, usually served with lot of butter but I cooked with Ghee so did not add much fat. Keep enjoying.

  • chana dal in dal makhni.. . ?? kasoori methi was missing , n f course dal makhni was without d makhan...!!

  • @stingerbruce

    Hi

Everyone has own preference of making it. Yes, Kasoori methi brings out real nice flavor so will add in written instruction. Thanx for reminding. And I cooked this dish in ghee so did not want to add much fat as I also garnished with heavy cream! But if you can find makhan, enjoy!
