He's speaking of PRIVATE unions. Go look at his presser on the air traffic controller strike: "I respect the right of workers in the private sector to strike. ... But we cannot compare labor-management relations in the private sector with government. Government cannot close down the assembly line. It has to provide without interruption the protective services which are government's reason for being."

Or better yet, FDR: “It is impossible to bargain collectively with the government.”

He's not talking about collective bargaining for public unions. 24 (actually 25 now that WI passed legislation) out of 50 states and federal workers do not have the right to collectively bargain. Even FDR was against collective bargaining for public workers because he knew it would result in a conflict of interests

I never said that Reagan was for banning public unions altogether (although he did fire 11,000 striking air traffic controllers). And neither is Governor Walker opposed to public unions in principle (at least not as indicated by his actions and public statements). I wish that the poster of this video would have the common sense to due some due diligence, and that commentators like you would have the common courtesy not to make false assumptions.
