biggest piece of shit there is dont buy it!! its all a scam theres a bunch of junk cars there all the same with different names and u cant get parts for the junk! it looks cool but wait till it breaks!! definatly not recommended
ys but why wouldnt the company that stocks them put in the description its atwo gear when every other company states what there cars are also if ya notice the two cogs your on about you will notice one drives the front an one drives the back to use just one cog for this job would cause to much strain so its easy to confuse two geared nitro cars lol also how do you tune them for a later change???
Yes you are wrong, lol. It is definately a two gear. You can change the shift point allowing it to shift later or really early. Also if you look on the car itself, if the clutch bell has two sets of gears on it, and it is connected to two sets of gears, it is obviously a two speed. These cars are only about $170. Not bad for what you get.
i bought one of these an there not to bad but to be honest if ya got a 170 quid id get a colt 3 belt drive 4wd twin gear search colt belt drive on here an you watch it go an hear it change gear i bought mine of ebay thinkin is was 2 gear but im convinced its not as when i googled um an found a site that stocks them on the description it had nothin about 2 speed but its still a quick car when ya get it started lol also ive already broke the clutch gear an fore down oscillating arm lol :(
yes i am thinking of getting one off theese cars but i would like to know how the car changes gears automaticaly on its own or how dose it change gears.
hey ive just ordered one of these an it only cost £110 with postage so i was well pleased but the place i bought it from noted that it was twin gear an from the sounds of things its only single my old colt belt drive was twin gear an sounded like an f1 car goin up the gears lol is this a twin or just single?
It's a two speed. You may need to play around with the shift point, because these cars come with a very early shift point, and you almost miss hearing it
thankyou mate is it ok to add you as a friend you seem to have a wicked knowledge for the vh a6 an its always handy to no someone in the rc game cause ya no how tempromental these things can be lol.. i still got a tamiya xgb that i gotta replace the pull start on aswell but fancied a new toy you no how it is...
For break-in, leave the high speed needle open 3 full turns from the closed position, then after each tank turn it one quarter clockwise. Do this for 4 tanks during break-in. (the more tanks you run, the better it is.)
Also, never run your car too lean, make sure there is always blue smoke emitting from the exhaust when driving at high speeds. There should always been some nitro vapour spitting out of the exhaust. If not, richen your settings. Otherwise you run a risk of burning your engine. Engine temp should never go over 300F. Use the spit test, spit on the cooling head, if it takes 3-5 seconds to evaporate, your good. If it sizzles right away, your too lean. If it takes longer than 5 secs, your too rich.
All you need to do is find a good balance between the idle, the highspeed needle, and the low speed needle. Adjust your idle until the car stays stationary. Then adjust your highspeed needle to your preference. Then do the pinch test on the fuel line to the carb, the car should speed up and shut off in 3-5 seconds which means your low speed is set at a good point. A good setting for this car is two full rotations open from the closed position. That is what mine is running at.
this car actually has no low speed needle. It is a fixed setting. So all you can really tune is the highspeed and idle. This is great for beginners that want something simple to tune.
i got the same car with the BMW body, when i got it, it wouldn't stop moving, the clutch spring was broke right out of the box. After I fixed it, the tuning was messed up, so can you tell me what the needles should be set at? The low speed needle is there, but it is right inside of the throttle sliding thing where the servo connects to the throttle.
hey, there is no "set point" for the low speed needle. Adjust it according to the pinch test. Basically, pinch the fuel line to the carb, and the car should speed up and shut off in about 3-5 seconds. This is the ideal setting for the low speed needle. If it takes longer to shut off, lean the low speed needle (clockwise turn), If it shuts off quicker than 3 seconds, then richen it (counter-clockwise turns). Do these adjustments in 1/8 turn increments. Hope that helps. Good luck.
theres a needle there man its right at the throttle theres a little screw in there turn that brother thats wat u need 2 adjust also i tunred mines perfect lol it runs fine ima get a new raido for it cause the radio is a piece of shit picks up too much interference lol
It should get close to that. You may have to adjust the shift point to get the best performance; these cars all come with differently adjusted points. Once that is done you should be able to hit about 40mph if not 50mph. Depending on your specific model, one comes with a .15cxp engine and anotehr comes with a .18cxp. The .18 is faster and is suppose to hit at least 50mph but i dont know since I have not tried it. However the one I have is .15 and it does do at least 40mph (1:14s into video).
I HAD the .18 model, it was a truck model. it was the yellow hummer and it sucked ass. u were right about the plastic breaking. but the thing is i didnt even get it broken in ur tuned!!! i got it damaged and they said it was me so i was screwed and the pullstarter spring had sprung. i was fucking pissed. so this truck is being used as retrofitting parts, iam happy now with my Used HPI MT2 .18SS+
idk i just bought 1 lol i think i hit 45 on da first gear i never really got up to the second but it is fast.Bad thing though parts are inpossible to get lol.u can only get them online or in a store only if u live in like hong kong lol
Yes it is all wheel drive, take a look at the link I have posted in my video description. It should have all the specs there. He sells lots of differnt cars, just go through the pages and find the lamborghini.
are you sure you are talking about the idle? or the carbureator? Because idle only affects the cars revs while it is stopped (it is the tiny little screw underneath the air filter). The thing that affects your speed would be the high speed needle. Turning it clockwise will lean it out (less fueL), and make it faster, but don't run it too lean, it will make the motor run hot.
If you turn it anti-clockwise it will run richer (more fuel), and it is safer, and sucks more fuel this way, but it will keep the engine running much cooler, and just safer overall.
One tank of fuel should last 10-15 minutes. How much run time are you getting per tank? (Make sure you do an engine break-in to prolong the life of your car, then you should worry about tuning)
Ideally, set the highspeed need two full turns open from the fully closed position after break-in is complete, there should also be blue smoke coming from the exhaust, and if you place your finger over the exhuast pipe while it is running the exhaust should spray nitro vapor, if not, then your are running your car too lean).
Ya, I will put up more videos once I get a chance. This was done with my phone, which is why it's bad quality. Also check out the link I posted in my video description, you can get this car for next to nothing from there, and shipping is incredibly fast. It took about 5 days to get to me in Canada, and I have ordered a few of these.
Maybe you could spend less money on RC cars and more on a camera so we can actually see stuff :-D
