  • THE BEST DANCE iN THE SOUTH PACiFiC! CUSTOMARiLy DONE BY THE CHEiFS DAUGHTER/MAIDEN(TAUPOU)OR THE SON(MANAIA). USUALLY DONE AFTER ALL PERFORMANCES. A SOLO DANCE WHICH FOR THE GIRLS SHOULD BE GRACEFUL, SMiLE, HAVE POiSE AND DANCE LiKE A LADy AND SHOULDN'T DANCE iT LiKE A TyPiCAL DANCE. THiS TAUPOU REPRESENTS WELL. FOR MANAIAS. THEY SHOULDN'T DANCE LIKE GIRLS BUT STILL BE GRACEFUL AS A MAN OF STRENGTH, HONOR, AND PRiDE FOR HiS COUNTRy. HOPEFULLy THAT HELPS.
