@JayKaySpliff yeah. yaknow, thinkin bout it, even if sentai(japanese footage of pr) were brought over here, i truly dought people would take it serious even if it has a dark theme and more violence in it, for one reason. power rangers. It changed the whole face of touksatsu wolrdwide. I believe this is why toku fans are bitter towards pr. AAND I MEAN BIIIIITTTERR!

One of my favorite B movies. Considering these were direct to video movies in the early/mid 90s, i think they did a decent job with the effects and fights. Making the fights more Kung-Fooey and less about the guyver's weapons (no pressure cannon/hadoken) was due to effects budget (and the movie budget) being low.

Oh and the guy who plays Sean Barker (the Guyver) is now a screenwriter and has worked on movies like X-Men (also had a cameo) and The Watchmen. Just thought that was interesting.

After Dark Hero came out, they did start on Guyver 3, but I haven't heard any mroe about it. But with the success of the new series, they might pick it back up again.

What would be the point of another live action movie? It would probably cost millions to animate zoanoids in CGI. And they killed guyver II (if you could even call him that) in the last film. If they made another Guyver movie, than probably we'd end with an AMERICAN animated series. And I bet you ten bucks that series would kill the franchise.
