I studied "Top Tones for Tenor" in the 60s/70s &I'm good w/my high notes but I believe I express myself best when I stay within my vocal range. I also prefer 2 play tenor & bari rather than alto.(Soprano is a totally different head.)There are a lot of great tenor men who never went there..Lester Young for example. Sometimes when I'm in a Stan Getz frame of mind I will go UP there to complete long phrases. Thanks a lot for the input. Next wk I'll try some super high notes &see how they feel! Troy

great sax.troy is bad azz on that sax ,these videos dont do him or the rest of the band justice at all.
