Je ne connais aucun tenor qui ait chanté des récitals tels que ceux de Chris Merritt:

2 heures de programme avec de la musique des 17e, 18e, 19e, 20e siècle comprenant les airs les plus difficiles du répertoire hérissés de vocalises et de suraigus totalement maîtrisés; ahurissant. Hélas, cette voix est aujourd'hui irrémédiablement usée, mais quelle carrière ! Chapeau bas.

Thank you fabiantenor for posting this recital. I'm so impressed, because I'm from Modena and I remember very well that in 1987 I saw the poster of this concert but I didn't have enough money to see this extraordinary singer.
