When there is a fault in a console, it is usually ironed out within 1 year. The RROD took 5 years to eliminate, disc scratching issues are STILL there. People often say that Microsoft lose money with the RROD.
Why would it still be a problem 5 years later when it could be fixed in no time at all and out of the production line within a year? Because they can save money. Why bother spending $15 ($750 million) more on ironing out its problems when you could fix it and send out a "refurbished" model for pennies.

Just finished this game. Fricking epic... I never played ME1 until a few weeks ago and was instantly hooked when I did. I got through it within a week and rushed to pick this up. I just heard about this trailer though, I can't imagine having seen this when it first showed up and having played ME1. The speculation would have been mindboggling! Shepard died?! Why's that geth wearing N7 armor? Did they download Shepard's mind into a geth??!! Crazy... Legion is the shit though.

@isurugi So I just customised my characters armour and went to this other planet and it reminds me of 5th element the film with bruce willis. I go into this alien nightclub and nearly die from a poisoned drink. It's really good game ... very nice.. not like doom3 were its shoot shooot oh and shoot. Its got a nice storyline that makes you want to continue playing.. Really good game its up there with half life,max payne... gotta be in my top 10 games off my life so far. Well worth buying..

I think everyone here will agree with me that this game SUCKS compared to the original Mass Effect. This game has no storyline whatsoever (you're brought back to life, then recruit some fucktards, then go on a suicide mission)... that's the ENTIRE fucking storyline everybody. There's absolutely no epic moments in this game at all. In Mass Effect 1 you have to leave Ashley or Kaiden behind to die, or the time when you discovered that Sovereign is really a Reaper... now THAT IS EPIC. Bioware SUCKS
Can somebody please tell me why this fucking game was put onto 2 discs??? It has considerable LESS contents than ME 1 and it sucks!!! There's no exploration anymore, everything is a linear corridor. Remember when you visited the Citadel in ME 1 and it's a big ass place? Well in ME 2 the Citadel is a pathetic 3 level narrow corridor. And don't forgot how they got rid of the world explorations... that was what set Mass Effect apart... world explorations!! and they got rid of it.

The developer diary reveals that you're recruiting your squad for a suicide mission, but little did I know that THAT was everything to the storyline. Fuck you Bioware for such a shitty game!!! This game took only 18 hours to beat... ME 1 took 50+ hours.
p.s. M920 Cain gun is the only good thing about this game.

I really like to know what you do you people like about this game because I don't get it! It is so super popular and I find it extremely boring. I haven't tried the first part. A friend of mine who is a very good gamer also does not like it. He loved ME1 (top 3 game for him) but after trying ME2 he also said he wouldn't play it at all.

I too think that this game sucks. Yeah characters talk - great voice work, great graphics, nice as a movie BUT missions are boring, level design is... ehm... I haven't played so boring uninspired levels since the 90s (when games were limited by technology). This game constantly reminds me of Halo, GOW, Quake, etc. but is much, much worse. And the RPG elements - I level up and I don't see a difference.

OK I hate to upset everyone who likes this game but this game REALLY SUCKS. I was really looking forward to the heavy weapons that was supposed to "kill someone a thousand times over". SERIOUSLY.... one of the developers actually had the balls to say that. The heavy weapons are a complete joke, they are fucking lame and weak as hell (excluding the mini nuke launcher), other than that all the other weapons are laughable. Story sucks too, not once was I shocked or mesmerized like I did with ME 1.

After you locate the Prothean (or Collector if you wish since they are now Reaper controlled) base in a black hole in the center of the galaxy where they take all the humans from the colonies (and your crew after the attack on the second Normandy) to.You use the Omega 4 Relay to reach the base.
I remember back when this first came out I was so pumped for me2. Now there is only 2 days until it is released I am so happy i am going to skip school just to play. Judge me all you want but this game is going to be suck.

@Iggimoogloop It's impossible for the Illusive Man to be the Shadow Broker, because in the comics The Illusive Man hires Liara to retrieve Shepard's body, and the Shadow Broker tries to pay her off to give Shepard to him.

Just finished this game. Fricking epic... I never played ME1 until a few weeks ago and was instantly hooked when I did. I got through it within a week and rushed to pick this up. I just heard about this trailer though, I can't imagine having seen this when it first showed up and having played ME1. The speculation would have been mindboggling! Shepard died?! Why's that geth wearing N7 armor? Did they download Shepard's mind into a geth??!! Crazy... Legion is the shit though.

@isurugi So I just customised my characters armour and went to this other planet and it reminds me of 5th element the film with bruce willis. I go into this alien nightclub and nearly die from a poisoned drink. It's really good game ... very nice.. not like doom3 were its shoot shooot oh and shoot. Its got a nice storyline that makes you want to continue playing.. Really good game its up there with half life,max payne... gotta be in my top 10 games off my life so far. Well worth buying..

I think everyone here will agree with me that this game SUCKS compared to the original Mass Effect. This game has no storyline whatsoever (you're brought back to life, then recruit some fucktards, then go on a suicide mission)... that's the ENTIRE fucking storyline everybody. There's absolutely no epic moments in this game at all. In Mass Effect 1 you have to leave Ashley or Kaiden behind to die, or the time when you discovered that Sovereign is really a Reaper... now THAT IS EPIC. Bioware SUCKS

Can somebody please tell me why this fucking game was put onto 2 discs??? It has considerable LESS contents than ME 1 and it sucks!!! There's no exploration anymore, everything is a linear corridor. Remember when you visited the Citadel in ME 1 and it's a big ass place? Well in ME 2 the Citadel is a pathetic 3 level narrow corridor. And don't forgot how they got rid of the world explorations... that was what set Mass Effect apart... world explorations!! and they got rid of it.

very VERY disappointed in Mass Effect 2. The story is next to shit and nothing compared to the original game. Seriously I knew the whole damn storyline before I even purchased this game. The developer diary reveals that you're recruiting your squad for a suicide mission, but little did I know that THAT was everything to the storyline. Fuck you Bioware for such a shitty game!!! This game took only 18 hours to beat... ME 1 took 50+ hours.
p.s. M920 Cain gun is the only good thing about this game.

I really like to know what you do you people like about this game because I don't get it! It is so super popular and I find it extremely boring. I haven't tried the first part. A friend of mine who is a very good gamer also does not like it. He loved ME1 (top 3 game for him) but after trying ME2 he also said he wouldn't play it at all.

I too think that this game sucks. Yeah characters talk - great voice work, great graphics, nice as a movie BUT missions are boring, level design is... ehm... I haven't played so boring uninspired levels since the 90s (when games were limited by technology). This game constantly reminds me of Halo, GOW, Quake, etc. but is much, much worse. And the RPG elements - I level up and I don't see a difference.

OK I hate to upset everyone who likes this game but this game REALLY SUCKS. I was really looking forward to the heavy weapons that was supposed to "kill someone a thousand times over". SERIOUSLY.... one of the developers actually had the balls to say that. The heavy weapons are a complete joke, they are fucking lame and weak as hell (excluding the mini nuke launcher), other than that all the other weapons are laughable. Story sucks too, not once was I shocked or mesmerized like I did with ME 1.
